I stayed here for three nights in April and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The room was clean and functional and the location was very convenient. The hotel itself is set far back from the main road on a tranquil lane, so the rooms are very quiet. I was able to walk to the Altstadt area in just over five minutes and it was about a 15 minute walk from the Hauptbahnhof. For such a small hotel, the breakfast was very adequate. There was a nice selection of breads, meats, cheeses, and other items. I also enjoyed a made-to-order egg every morning! I found the couple running the hotel to be very friendly and helpful. Since I didn't want to drag my luggage all the way to the station and wasn't sure I could get there on time with a bus transfer, I asked the woman at the front desk to schedule a taxi for me. The taxi came on time and picked me up right at the front door. It was great service and I had no issue making my train.

Location: Perfect - just a hundred metres from the Bauhaus trail, the old centre of Celle, and the gardens. Hotel: absolutely superb, spacious, everything you need, ultra-helpful friendly owner/staff, relaxed, traditional old German features. Room: really comfortable bed, spacious room, plenty of space to put clothes, the sort of bathroom you dream of. Breakfast: the best we had on the whole driving tour through north Germany. I wish every small hotel we stayed in was like this. I shall ensure I come here again if in the area.
