Just returned from a 5 night stay. We had an amazing time in Barga and Villa Moorings is the perfect location to relax and explore the area. Beautiful 1920s art deco building retaining many original features - if you want authenticity and a friendly family atmosphere then this is the place. I can understand that some people might find the old furniture etc a bit 'quirky', but we loved the character. Breakfast was amazing, everything was kept really clean and the staff were super friendly. Thanks everyone! (p.s. Roseanna says "ciao Anna - ci vediamo presto!")

Not at all as presented online. Left after 1/2 hour and had to find somewhere else to stay

酒店回复: Dear Kevin I’m sorry that you had 1/2 hour of bad experience and I’ve seen you not feel comfortable for the steps. We don’t have an elevator (and nowhere online that it says that there is a lift, is an historical Villa and it is not possible to have it) and you have problems doing the stairs. You have also booked a room on the top floor so I agree with you that you had to look for somewhere else to stay that was more suitable for you.

We stayed sadly for 1 night only due to time constraints ! The staff are welcoming, friendly and highy efficient. The building is very well presented and is very well maintained. A stunning Victorian Style Tuscan Villa, the hotel rooms are set on 2 upper sprawling floors. lovely rooms, immaculately turned out with impressive landing areas which you can relax and use. An outdoor swimming pool in on offer as well. Breakfast is very comprehensive, served by wonderfully cheery ladies. Nothing is too much bother ! Please give it a go, you won't be disappointed !

The building and grounds are historic and beautiful. The service is excellent with the hotel staff looking to be as helpful as possible. The breakfast was what you would expect at a good Italian venue. Our room had an AC which is a must in August weather. We also got some beautiful views of the mountains from our windows. The hotel is not too far from some great hikes if you like being outdoors (about 25-35 min drive away) and is also walking distance from the main restaurant area. While we had a pleasant stay, we were surprised at how dated our room, furnishings and bathroom were. The bed was also hard. We also would have appreciated a heads up in advance that there would be a jazz concert on the grounds the night we arrived as we were quite exhausted from the trip only to find out we would be going to bed as early as we would have liked (to note the concert was free for guests so def a perk if you aren't tired and look fwd to some fun entertainment).
