The rooms are small. The first room we had, the heating didn't work, in October the evenings get cold, and it's not nice coming in from the cold and wet into a cold room. The next room we had the t.v didn't work. The sink was in the main room, the cold tap didn't work, it just spun round, so was only hot water, not good for brushing teeth! The breakfast tables weren't laid at all, and cereals that had run out weren't replenished, neither was the orange juice. No housekeeping was done the whole week we were there. We were lucy to be able to park out side the hotel, but parking is just a road, so could be difficult. Maya hasn't been running this long, and it needs a lot doing to it, walls are very thin, the next room could clearly be heard, and one wall had three different types of wall paper on! I hope Maya is able to decorate as needed, and makes it work.

Never again - We came to Blackpool to celebrate New Year, we booked the Oban as it was really close to where we were going, the rooms are dated and the carpets a worn, but it was just a place to sleep till New Years day so we weren't too bothered about the room. we got back at 1am to a friends of the owners party, kids running everywhere, music blasting out, karaoke. then at 1.30am someone opened our door with a key and came into the room. at 1.45am we went down to complain and was told to come and join in the party, I get that people want to celebrate but this is a business not a household and we had paid a fair amount to stay there. the next day when we left at 9am were got an apology, but a half hearted one saying that it was her drunk friends, when i mentioned that someone had come into our room she said she couldn't do anything about it as it was her friend who was drunk. We have been coming to Blackpool every new years eve for many years but wee will not be booking the Oban again.

1 star goes to the host mayu 1 star goes to the comfy bed 1 star for the free WiFi The hotel itself is based in the cabin area of Blackpool. It cost 90 pound for 2 nights "you get what you pay for". The hotel is in need of an update, the walls are paper thin, the room itself was very dusty and for some reason their was a dead rose nailed to the wall. The bathroom was tiny and the shower was not height adjustable. It also needs a shower curtain. The T.V wasn't working we reported it but mayu couldn't fix it so I fixed myself. The breakfast was optional at 6.50 pound each yes that is cheap but a very basic full English.

Had a fantastic stay here with my family on NYE 2021... was so good in fact that we ended up in the bar all night with Helen singing karaoke, playing darts, auld lang syne the lot! haha... very comfortable nights kip as well, lovely lovely woman.. see you you soon helen take care and enjoy the break x Gaz, Caz, Millie, Rosie (ps thanks for the chocolates) x

Checked into our room,which was clean and a perfect size. Helen could not have been more helpful and wonderful throughout the stay, feel like we made a friend for life. Celebrated new years eve together and shared some lovely stories. Gem of a place to stay

I will give this a 10⭐️ as May went above and beyond. She is fantastic. The location of the hotel is so accessible to transport. The cleanliness of the hotel. But most of all May made are visit a wonderful one. Will definitely visit again.
