Prior to our visit we exchanged emails with Hind, who it turns out made all the arrangements on behalf of Mme Vallet. We did meet Mme Vallet a couple of times during our stay but she speaks absolutely no English so the conversations were all French. We were met at the front door by Hind and shown to our apartment on the fourth floor. The lounge is very spacious, but the bedroom is very narrow. Because of a recent knee operation I was unable to climb into the bed and had to have the second bed made up in the lounge. The kitchen is small but fully equipped. Yhe bathroom was spacious and modern. The small balcony has a table and two chairs and has fabulous views over the west beach and the Colline. Entrance to the block is on the street next to the markets so could not have been better located! The best restaurant was literally next door! The markets are also really close, and just around the corner is the main Esplanade. Although expensive, the apartment has everything going for it and we would not hesitate to return.
