What amazing hosts they were truly brilliant and couldn’t do enough for us helping out and going beyond expectations.
You would not find nicer people and the room was lovely in a great location. Also great to have Amazon prime and other channels available and good WiFi.

Loved this property in the heart of Manteo!! We spent a lot of time walking which is exactly what we wanted for a weekend getaway. Very charming and when it rained the breezeway was a cozy alternative to umbrellas! We enjoyed this place very much, highly recommend!!

We did not realize there were steps leading up to room. The worst issue was not being able to control thermostat in room, nasty bathroom sink and brown liquid coming up from the floor. We paid over $250.00 a night and should have had much better services and accommodation. No one at site to talk to, all via texts. No written information in room. Bedding was sub-par.

Lovely stay at the Cameron Guest House
The guest house is lovely, roomy and comfortable. We were there on a 40 degree evening and firewood was provided for the fireplace. We ended up being too tired to use it but it was appreciated nonetheless. Our two pups were with us and loved running up and down the stairs. And the location is great-walking distance from cute streets, good restaurants and shops.

O my goodness! This sweet inn met and exceeded all of my and my sister's expectations. It is located in the heart of Manteo. Walking distance to restaurants and pubs. Safe to walk at night and just for a stroll anytime. The Sandpiper suite was where we stayed. It was beautifully appointed with a large bathroom with a tub and shower. There was a large closet and a handy dresser with a mirror. Several windows let in a lot of natural light, but curtains and shades got it dark for uninterrupted sleep on 2 queen sized beds. Our host, Mrs. Beth could not have been nicer, and she was so knowledgeable about everything in the area. Also, we had our own private breezeway with a fireplace and TV. We initially booked one night, but when we saw how nice everything was, and when we met Beth, we quickly booked a 2nd night's stay. We're so glad we did. We really wanted to stay longer, but our schedules didn't allow it. We will definitely be back, though! You absolutely must stay here! Thank you, Beth, for an unforgettable stay!

We had a couple of minor issues which were immediately attended to by the innkeepers which resulted in a perfect, comfortable stay. We would definitely stay again and would certainly recommend the Cameron House as THE place to stay in Manteo.

Tropical Storm Ophilia dampened our plans
After making a decision to leave Ocracoke Island following news that tropical storm Ophilia was forecast to hit the Outer Banks, we decided to leave the island and head inland to try and salvage the remainder of our week-long vacation. We settled on Manteo since we wanted to visit the Christmas Store and take in a few other attractions. Unfortunately, the weather continued to deteriorate so we decided to pack up a second time and leave for home. We were literally in the Cameron House Inn room for about two hours total. With that being said, Shelley, who greeted us outside and escorted us to our room was kind, personable, helpful and gracious. We enjoyed talking with her. The room was decorated beautifully and everything was super clean and tidy. There were plenty of towels and everything else we needed. The location is spectacular and right in the waterfront area. We could literally walk to everything. I would highly recommend the Cameron House Inn if you're in the area. And, we will likely try to stay here again when we return during a future trip. Hopefully, the weather will be better!
