The staff was so lovely especially in the restaurant. The room was noisy from children running around and a general impression of people being right next to you - not what I associate with wellness and relaxing. The toilet bin smelled like cigarettes. The pool area was well suited for children but the acoustics didn't invite you to relax due to a constant sprouting water fountain in the pool. The sauna stopped working and the technician wasn't coming to take care of until the next day. Overall I wouldn't want to come back.

We initially booked a triple room, but upon arrival, we were not given the room we reserved. The receptionist was unhelpful, unfriendly, and made no effort to resolve the situation. Instead of offering a solution, she demanded an extra fee of 500 CZK per night for an additional bed. When we asked to speak with the manager, she refused to let us do so. Overall, the service was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. That said, the hotel itself is clean and well-maintained. We really liked the sauna, the pool, and the room in general. It’s just disappointing that the hotel offers triple rooms for booking when they apparently don’t have them available.

Hotel is easy to find upon arrival into Janske Lazne. You can park your car right in front of the hotel while you check in up to one hour. You then have to move it a few meters into a public parking area, that can easy be confused as the hotel parking.. which it is not. If you do not need to move your car, you can pay for parking upon exit as it is cheaper, otherwise bring the ticket into the hotel reception area and they will validate in-out privileges (still more expensive). I did not need to move my car. My room had a balcony, which was really nice to be able to open the door and let some fresh air in. The property is a short distance downhill to the Kolonada as well as up to the cable car. The rooms are smaller, quite modern with the glass bathroom wall and the sleeping area. The pool is also nice for a short swim. Breakfast is good, staff is attentive, and I enjoyed my stay.

Would not recommend as failed in many ways
First impression was really off-putting because whole place stunk of chlorine - the smell was omnipresent and strong, from the foyer, hallways, everywhere. Never experienced that before and mostly book hotels with a pool.
Staff was very unhelpful, one receptionist literally rolled her eyes when I asked a question about ski storage. Breakfast was not great but it was ok, except for things were running out often and one had to ask several times (and wait..) for them to be re-filled.
We were on the first floor and the hallway carpet was dappled with many areas of bleach/cleaning product stains, which does not give a good impression. The room was a nice surprise, that was comfortable and relatively clean (except the shower has balls of fluff/dust). Even tho we left one day well before noon and left tag on the door for the room to be cleaned, it has not been attended to at all. And again, reception was unapologetic and not particularly helpful (same person on duty).
It was very disappointing over all, especially after seeing the fancy photos on-line AND the money we paid! I am happy to overlook things here and there, especially if the staff is helpful and willing to rectify, but this was consistently below standard to say the least and in many areas, so I would not recommend this place, needless to say I will not be returning. Which is a pity because the area and the skiing was great!
