As a caravan park this is one of the worst we have ever stayed in . Van sites are co-located within what is basically a miners camp. There is constant disruption and noise from mining trucks, buses, vehicles and workers. We were kept awake from 3 am as workers left for their shifts in various vehicles. Didn’t feel particularly safe here either. The park is also dusty and not particularly clean. We left the park early and to their credit the park acknowledged this disruption and refunded part of our stay. This co-location with miners accommodation should be made clear on their website. Much nicer park down the road on the beachfront.

Friendly staff. Buyer beware, this is NOT a family friendly caravan park. It is a Miners accommodation park. Really only suitable for dudes wanting to go fishing and miners. One amenities block. Huge recreation block , but full of miners. Not family friendly. We booked two nights & left after one night. Steer clear if travelling with a family.

If you like a great pizza, this is the place to go as the park has a bar with pizza and a daily fish and chips offering. If you like heaps of sand flies book a side now and if you like to camp in the direct flight path of Onslow airport this is the spot! If you treasure the thought of being woken up 5.30am by workers and their diesel vehicles (going to work), your in heaven! Not to forget the dusty sides, something to write home about and the looong walk to the amenities… (they are very clean, thumbs up to the cleaners)! We didn’t like it, so we left earlier and like in a previous review by Peter, we also lost money. They didn’t even ask why we left. (We would have had 3 nights to go)

We booked a site in April 2022, arrived in August. Site given to us was on bitumen in a car park with and over flowing sullage pit. We went into see the young woman in reception, her first day and she was trying really hard to be helpful. The manageress came out and literally told me tough……, then said we could go for a walk around the park and see what site I wanted and she would move those people. Said she was fully booked. No way were we doing that. Late that evening we counted 8 unused powered sites. We have been traveling since May and have tried to use Discovery/G’day parks. This park certainly let down the standard we had been use to. I think you need new managers in there having now read previous reviews.

This is a miners camp with little consideration afforded caravans or campers. Amenities are closed for cleaning between 7 & 8am, the busiest time of the day, I was informed this was necessary to get them out if the way to clean accommodation. Ablutions are a considerable distance from sites. The fish cleaning discharges into an open drain and stinks The wifi constantly dropped out and despite being reported by many was not resolved in the three weeks of our stay. The restaurant is a miners kitchen, The gym has black mould covering the ceiling. I watched is disbelief as a mower set too low cut the grey water lines into pieces and covered campers in dust There is no effort being made to water grass or maintain grass areas level for campers. Management failed to address late night anti social behaviour We observed staff aimlessly driving around throughout the day We took a financial hit and left early and I would not recommend booking for any more than an overnight stay. The caravan park in the centre of Onslow should be booked well in advance to avoid this experience. We will not be returning

Have know idea what sites they have. We were given site 18, only to find someone on it.. further down another 18, but it’s and old driveway not near power or water.. rang office and said we were moving one over to 21 only to be told there was no site 21 there… we were standing right on it!!! They tried to put two other couples on 18 with same result and then they finally put a couple on this unpowered site!!! Amenities… terrible… definitely not worth travelling into industrial area for this park

Good facilities, nice bathrooms, gym and the option of all meals/bar. The only downside was the noise down the road early in the morning from construction and people leaving early to start work at 6am. We were tenting so staff were nice and easy going with when we checked out.

We are absolutely disgusted by the lack of any communication or assistance during nearly 2 days of no water (yep, no showers or toilets). There was no attempt to keep toilets running with buckets, no communication regarding public facilities available, no portable toilets/showers brought onto the property. There were no updates on progress of repairs just rude notices on the amenities blocks advising there were no refund if you left early which was only due to having no facilities. When the fault was finally repaired there was, yet again, no communication to the guests. Extremely bad management. Attitude was poor and staff were inadequately trained to handle the situation. Their basic attitude was they couldn’t care less (except for the lovely young lady at reception)
