Amazing Valentine dinner last night. The food was fantastic, best meal I've had for a long time. Each course was sublime especially the pudding which was a very clever combination of different treats for a special evening. All topped off by excellent service from Mallory

Smashing little place hidden away amongst the delights of Cookham Dean. I occasionally pop in for a soft drink on a ‘WFH’ lunchtime walk, or a coffee post-school run in the morning. Only ever have friendly and efficient service, and the breakfasts look first-class!

We went to a Club Christmas dinner here and it was excellent. Friendly service, good food, coped with a large group - highly recommended. Their home made sloe gin was delicious. Salmon was beautifully cooked and presented, and the prawn cocktail fresh Deservedly busy on a Thursday evening

Now called The Inn on The Green. Wonderful country pub with rooms. We stayed for 2 nights to attend a family wedding - when we arrived we ordered a few starters to keep us going until dinner - wow, we were blown away - the smoked salmon had blobs of yummyness which I think was pickled cucumber gel - we also had the mackerel pate which was just delicious! There was a small issue with our room and the marvellous Mallory went out of her way to sort it out for us - we decided to upgrade to the suite which was really lovely and had the most enormous bath!! It’s an old building so expect the odd imperfection but all in all the rooms are well thought out, very clean and comfortable. Dinner was delicious and the service lead again by Mallory was exceptional. We will definitely return - can’t wait!
