My mother was taken ill during her stay & the staff at the hotel were so helpful and even assisted us in calling an ambulance. They were caring and asked after her. I would like to especially thank Callie for all her help and support. My father has had an extended stay at the hotel due to my mother’s hospital stay and the staff have been so accommodating in moving us rooms when required. A big thank you!

After my request for a room with an opening window on my previous stay 5 days earlier, I was delighted to get one which made all the difference to me. The room was very comfortable and clean as usual. Staff member on reception was very helpful. We stay here quite a lot.

Three of us arrived at this hotel at approximately 8.15pm after a 6 hour drive. We had been heavily delayed en route and were desperate for a meal once we finally got to the hotel. Whilst en route we checked the hotel’s website to make sure we would be there in time to order food. Last food orders were quoted at 9.00pm, so we were in plenty of time (or so we thought). Upon arrival at 8.15pm the receptionist told us that the kitchen had closed because they had too many orders and wouldn’t get them all out before 9pm. So we were not allowed to order any food - presumably because the chef was more interested in clocking off than providing a decent level of customer service. To add insult to this they called last orders for drinks at 9.45pm. What a way to make your customers feel welcome. Additionally the rooms were tired and are in desperate need of refurbishment. The free WiFi is virtually unusable so I paid £5 for the Ultimate WiFi just to be able to access my emails. I do think that charging for WiFi in this day and age is crazy. I have had a similar experience at other Premier Inns (where food is not available at the stated times) recently and will no longer be using the brand. AVOID THIS HOTEL IF POSSIBLE!!!

Lovely clean room, very spacious. Also very quiet both inside and out! We were right by a door in the corridor but we hardly heard it, certainly couldn't hear it of an evening/night. The room had everything youd need of a night, tea and coffee facilities with extra in the reception area should you need more. Bed was super comfy and spacious I don't even remember falling asleep. As parents being away from our little one we set an alarm and I'm glad I did because I'd have still been asleep come check out! Room was a little cold when we got here with the heater only going up to 24 degrees which only really took the initial chill off but that evening after our meal out it was warm, and over night it stayed warm. The shower was LOVELY didn't take very long at all to warm to a nice temperature, stayed at that temperature and the pressure stayed the same too. Could have stayed in that all day. Breakfast at french connection was lovely and the staff were very friendly and accommodating to food allergies. I'd highly recommend this hotel and would look to stay here again.

Arrived on wednesday 28th January and was greeted by a lovely lady on reception, Callie. She was an absolute legend and swiftly and effeciently booked me in and booked my breakfast and dinner for both days of my stay there and then. I must say i have never stayed at a premier inn where the staff have remembered my name before and it makes you feel fantastic. This also includes the staff in the french connection which is the adjoining pub where breakfast and dinner is served. Very pleasant stay

We have had a great time the reception staff have been great and very understanding due to our unforeseen circumstances. For my birthday Wendy gave me a lovely box of chocolates. Food has been great as well as the restaurant staff. Would highly recommend.

We stayed because we needed to be close to the hospital and family the room was quiet and clean and just what we needed the staff were polite and helpful especially Daisy ànd Sandra they asked how my Dad was as he was in hospital and quite poorly. It was a peaceful place to stay . Would definitely stay again when visiting family in the area . 10/10 Daisy and Sandra
