Dirty and stained bed sheets, no bed cover, no WiFi in the rooms, cockroaches, rust on the toilet, broken shower handle. this hotel could be good if it was better managed. The manager didn't have the keys to our room, we waited 20 minutes for her to find the keys. The place is between Quepos and Manuel Antonio so there is nothing near. I would not go back. Very tired hotel in need of some love. Lots of pool furniture broken ( there were two pools) and ripped sheets on bed. There never seemed to be anyone at reception as tried to get a blanket because I was cold previous night and only a sheet provided. Had breakfast across the road as lunch was horrible. There is nothing much around and need to catch a bus into Quepos town 380crn each way. It is very close to the bus stop.

Recently stayed here as part of a small group tour and was very disappointed. Stained bedsheets. Almost no hot water. Not enough towels. No Wi-Fi. No blankets. Leaking toilet with towels stuffed underneath to catch dripping water. The pool area was pretty nice, though.

The room, whilst dated, was perfect for us. We had a large comfortable bed, a beautiful balcony overlooking the surrounding countryside and a large bathroom. The addition of the green corner bath in there was interesting, but we didn't use it! We did have a smashed pain of glass in the door, which we had to go down to reception to get them to tape up to prevent any mosquitos getting in, but apart from that it was okay. There were plenty of eateries within walking distance, although the seafront was only really assessable via bus or taxi due to the distance.

Arrived and had terrible customer service with a grumpy man at reception who didn't even want to hand out the WiFi password. The room was dirty - dirty bed sheets and dirty towels covered in brown and black marks. We asked for new towels but Reception closed frequently and said to message them by Whatsapp if we needed anything but took ages to respond. Worst moment was finding the biggest cockroach I've ever seen in the bed. Appalling. We didn't use the blankets out of fear of bed bugs. Every morning when we woke up we were covered in more bites. I hope we have caught some awful disease as the bites are nasty. The staff cleaned the room while we were out on the second day, and it was left with dirty towels again - more brown and black marks. No WiFi in the rooms at all. Only available at Reception. Staff unhelpful. The state of the Reception bathroom was disgusting - dirty and no toilet paper. The state of the kitchen from a brief glance - also disgusting. The food was vile. We decided not to eat anything here. Would never return.

Avoid this hotel at all costs. One towel, I asked for a hand towel or really ANY towel, they said no. One light, ripped sheet. No covers, I used my one towel as a blanket. Lol Zero WiFi the entire time. Very slippery slopes to get to and from the room. My friend and I both got bit by something while sitting at opposite ends of the pool. The food was good, the married couple was wonderful. The front desk had a sign on the door “out to lunch” the entire few days we were there. There was no one in the front office. The bus picks up very close. I went with a tour group and recommend they avoid in the future as well.

I was on a tour and stayed at Hotel Mimos for two nights. Don't be fooled by the pictures!! The grounds, pool and the rooms of the hotel are very run down. The pools and chairs are dirty. It does not appear there has been any maintenance in decades and the maintenance that is done is cheap. Staff was unpleasant and the Manager was unprofessional. Shared a room with another traveler, we were given one towel each. No hand towels or face towels in the bathroom. No soap or shampoo. And to top all of that off there are cockroaches everywhere. Many travelers had cockroaches in their rooms and they were not small ones. The grounds of the hotel are also crawling with them at night. Food was expensive, portions very small and nothing special. I would not stay here again!!!

Very good value for money, bus outside the door for visits to manuel antonio and quepos, bed was comfortable, loads of space, pools were very clean, restaurant although it was not silver service was very good value in comparison to restaurants locally
