Really nice hostel right on the sea, you can swim off the dock and there's a free kayak to take too. Great vibes with a more social common area downstairs and a quieter chill one upstairs. As solo traveller I liked how easy it was to make friends. Bed was really comfortable and the best in all my travels in Panama. Its really close to walk to everything in town but up a quieter end so it's peaceful at night, although the area is still very safe to walk. You can book tours through the hostel and arrange for boat taxis etc with them too which works out some of the cheapest rates going. The guest kitchen is very small/basic but adequate so I'd recommend it more for people who like to go out to eat or only cook simple food, but there's lots of cheap tasty options near by.

We had a great time! The hostel is very close to the centre. The host is very friendly, taught us how to make the most delicous crab pasta! He gave us great tips on boat tours/ restaurants/ shuttles etc. The room was clean and a very nice bathroom. You can also swim at the hotel, and it has a spacious ‘chill’ area. Would definitly come here again!!.

Stayed for only one of the two nights I had booked. This was probably a nice place 20 years ago, but it’s run down, dirty, and there is black mold in the bathrooms. It’s up for sale, so I’m guessing maintenance isn’t too important to the owner. Surprised at how dusty and dirty the room was. It seemed like the floors hadn’t seen a broom in weeks, and a mop even longer. Stay far away from this place unless it’s the only room in town

There is no restaurant on this hotel as promote don its website. It is a pity because when its raining the streets are all under the water and going out when its raining is unpleasant. It looks like the guy in charge does not like to work/help, he is an italian whom does not speak english or spanish. Communication was difficult. As a good thing I can say the place is clean ans we slept well! The lady in charge or cleaning the place is very kind!

I loved my stay in Bocas, the hotel was placed at a good location, walking distance to everything, the staff is super nice and service minded and the beds were really comfortable. The hanging area, super super nice and it’s right by the ocean so you can bath whenever you want, fun to jump from the second floor🤪 I would recommend the hotel to everyone!

Read the bad reviews about the owner of this place but thought I would be able to avoid as I normally keep to myself. Unfortunately was not possible, and from the day I arrived he was arguing with guests for around an hour loudly, it was very hostile! And then when I tried to pay he was incredibly hostile and aggressive toned towards me, so I felt uneasy being a female solo traveller. Didn’t feel safe here. The owner had a weird power thing about the AC remote so you only get it at certain times, but 3 nights it didn’t work, and one night it was far too cold but didn’t have the remote to turn it off so couldn’t sleep. The owner is clearly a very unhappy man, I would avoid this hostel, there are places with better vibes in bocas. Oh and if you’re female then the owner will stare at your breasts if you speak to him. Made me incredibly uncomfortable, have never had someone do that so intensely to me before. Really gross. Such a shame as the hostel has so much potential, just ruined by the owner.

Worst stay ever! It was black mold in two of the rooms (we changed one time) and on the fans which means that it probably was everywhere. The smell was awful, you felt sick as soon as you came into the building. The fridge and freezer didn’t work and the staff was extremely ignorant and not helpful.
