Room was spacious & clean. Staff were nice & helpful. The only downside is, our room was quite a ways walking distance from the main lobby, pool, buffets & restaurants. But, the pathways were well lit.

Great rooms, great staff, fantastic amenities. Be prepared to walk, large property. Beach 90% sandy 10% rocky, but amazing snorkeling. Bring/get your own gear and can snorkel whenever you want.

Rooms were nice, ac was okay but paid room service ****** espesially when we were bed ridden for 5 days with sick children.
Pools were so freakin cold for the first 5 days as the temp was 29 for a fww days before but even after it warmed up they were way colder than the ocean for most the day and the kids did not like it.
Food was very good but the lack of support and direction from staff to find youre way around a massive resort was brutal and the shuttles only move you around the back of resorts so we found our selves walking a ridiculous amount that by the time night came for shows and night life we were exusted.
The beaches were very clean and beautiful and so was the resort.
We called and let them know my son threw up on his bed and we left a large tip for the person cleaning the room and then they made a complaint about the stain on his sheets and we had to talk to manament about that even after letting them know our child was suffering.
Was charged about 500$ CAD for the doctors service for our child which ****** too.
All the shows are so scattered and far away that it was hard to keep up with what was going on...
I domt think the price is worth the amount of bs. We paid 7k for 2 adults and 1- 4 year old and a 10 month baby for 10 days.
Dont think we will be back unless the was a really good deal.

The staff was friendly some didn't speak English. The property was clean and the pool area was great.
You could exchange peso at the front desk to smaller denominations which was nice.
One thing if you use face cloths bring your own very hard to get.

We had a wonderful week at the Barceló Maya Palace. The resort is huge and there are great amenities such as snokeling, paddleboarding, tennis, padel, and even pickleball! The à la carte restaurants at the Palace are very good. La Brasserie French is one of our favourites. The food is solid and the service we received from Francesco Arcos was excellent. Caribe, the seafood restaurant, serves up an excellent lobster. Rodizio is a fun time, especially if you get the skewers. It was fun seeing Porforio tending the bar at this restaurant. I met him at El Cielo a few years ago and he always makes great drinks! Kyoto Japanese is great as well! The chefs always do a great show and make great food. The servers are always friendly and accommodating!
We have been to the Barceló Maya Grand Resort many times and our favourite part is always the El Cielo bar. Jorge Ruiz, Ismael Chan, Margaito Alvares, Herlinda Lopez and Angelica Acosta were such fun and excellent bartenders and servers! I have seen them so many times before that it was like coming back to see old friends.
At the Premium Lounge, Neo Menendez was very kind and patient in finding a room to our satisfaction. When we checked in they only had a room with 2 double beds ready for us, but he went out of his way to find us a king bed room. Thank you!
And, of course, Moises Campis, the Chief Concerierge, provides amazing service and always goes out of his way to make our stay perfect! He is a credit to the resort!

浴室脏兮兮的，到处都是水。办理入住等了两个小时，退房的时候还多收了一个孩子的钱，明明预订里已经包含了。床铺潮湿，食物难吃，设施陈旧。这是我住过最差的酒店，不推荐给任何人。

We called and let them know my son threw up on his bed and we left a large tip for the person cleaning the room and then they made a complaint about the stain on his sheets and we had to talk to manament about that even after letting them know our child was suffering.
