Excellent motorcamp - modern, clean and friendly operator. On our 5-day tour in a campervan around the lower South Island, this was by far the nicest place we stayed at. Can only recommend. It is a good walk from the town cbd, but it was a very pleasant walk.

Lovely location and staff were great, but did feel our sight was rather tight. All campers were good and not rowdy even on new years eve. Great kids playground. Facilities were nice, bit felt the showers needed a good scrub.

Great campsite, excellent facilities and friendly staff. If you are coming to the Coast, stay here. I am a Kiwi and grew up with stereotypes of the West Coast, but this site has shattered all that that. There is lots for the kids to do and lots of great things in the area. Of course it is the West Coast so the weather is unpredictable, but it is spectacular scenery.

Checkin not open until 3pm - arrived at 2 and had to do a quick sight see first. Given a convenient and well placed berth, plenty of room to navigate campervan round the site. Kitchen and dining area was good- spacious and comfortable - only challenge was a number of the electric rings didn't work. Toilet block clean, showers powerful and roomy. Kids play area including zipline in middle of park. Handy for town (too far to walk) and the Hokitika gorge, with a small Glow Worm dell 500 m away. Nice, would use again.

Lovely service. Clean grounds ang comfortable rooms. Bunk rooms are warm and have a sink with running cold water which is handy. The playground is awesome for kids. The kitchen has a nice fire to keep warm and have dinner in front of, good value for money.

Was only here a few hours , but calling at 11pm on the Sunday in the middle of Easter weekmed and being able to stay here with my son instead of the apaulimg accomadation we stayed in. We were lucky enough they had a bunk room we could sleep in before returning home , the best way me and my son can describe it was sleeping in a warm marshmallow, the beds were soft and warm and comfterble. Wish we had more time to explore the park and facility's however my son did sneak in a sneaky go on the awesome flying fox before leaving :) and the playground is awesome

It's a shame a this site could be so much better with just a little effort. Stayed one night in an RV. The good points: 1. Nice and quiet 2. Lots of space The not so good: 1. No internet and receptionist didn't seem that bothered about it. 2. BBQ was dirty and out of gas - was simply handed cleaning materials and a new bottle to connect. 3. The toilets/showers were not clean - far too many insects trapped in webs (ie been there for more than a day) - one of the curtains even had an insect squished into it! No excuse for not keeping just 6 cubicles much cleaner.

The bunk room with shared bathroom was clean and cozy. The bunks beds are very comfortable and I saved money my bringing my own blankets and pillows, towels and linen. The wall mounted TV has built-In Freeview with various channels. There is a mini fridge, hot water jug and a toaster all included in the room. The shared kitchen is very large and has all the utensils needed. The shared lounge includes a wood fire. There is a large playground sporting a fast flying fox which is very fun and safe. Outdoor braziers are available and there are multiple gas-powered BBQ's on site which cooked my steaks and saussies to perfection. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Check-in required retrieving the key from a safe and inside is an envelope with a map and key giving clues where to go, I enjoyed this element because it gave a feeling of being in the amazing race. Quiet, relaxing and super fun.
