At this price level I expect cotton sheets, not plastic (microfiber)…they do not breathe. Our room desperately needs blackout curtains! (Light from hotel’s exterior comes in all night.) The bed was very firm, the “blanket” thin and flimsy, and all in all, unfortunately, we slept very poorly. This hotel is advertised as “luxury”, but it definitely does not fall in that category, in our humble opinion. I leave this extensive review not as a gripe, but to offer ideas for improvement; I’d start with the curtains! I often host guests (free of charge) at our home, and their comfort is very important to me.

Management extremely friendly and helpful
Room was fine but would benefit by substituting a comfortable chair for ( or 2) for the wood bench.
An ice bucket for each room would be a good low cost addition

We had a wonderful stay. The property was beautiful and so in keeping with the vibe of Beaufort. They really did think of everything, from waters in the room to coffee availability. Sitting on the veranda in the morning with a cup of coffee was the best! Would highly recommend this property.

Great BnB!!
They have a large private parking lot immediately behind the hotel. We arrived at about 7 PM and dropped off our luggage the night manager, Guy, was very helpful. We then went to the Breakwater restaurant, which is a one minute walk away from the hotel. Both the service and the food was excellent.
We had coffee on the upper balcony in the morning, and the view towards the bridge was spectacular.
The rooms were exceptionally clean. Our only minor distraction was a fairly stiff mattress.

Loved the location, views from the porch and so quiet!!! We were welcomed and shown around the property which was nice. Received texts giving us all info we needed which was so helpful. Would definitely stay here again!!

We were welcomed and place was very clean. Area around was clean and well maintained. The area was very safe and quiet. We had a great stay well worth the money. Must visit the island, fish amp and the state park and beach. Well worth the ride to the park. River front park was outstanding. The area around the property was clean and felt very safe throughout the downtown area. Blacksone cafe is a must to visit for breakfast before 8 am

Location is everything and this hotel has it. Smack within walking distance of all of Bay Street restaurants, bars and shops. Ample and easy parking, which is a a godsend for being downtown. Lovely communication and check in is a breeze. The hotel itself is a beautiful historic house and gorgeous.
