We stayed four nights late September 2025. We have to agree with the several previous posts regarding the unacceptable creek crossing approaching the park - definitely not suitable for vehicles with low clearance, as it is extremely rocky and should be concreted. The previous posts regarding sewerage smell is NOT UNDERSTATED. The men's amenities are disgusting, the stench was terrible, and blowflies were swarming at the urinals. Regular use of disinfectant would help, together with deodorants in the urinal and toilet areas. We are sorry that we cannot give this facility a higher rating than ONE STAR. However, the natural setting and proximity to the Gorge are excellent. Good Luck!

Great campsite and cabins in a beautiful surroundings. Miles from anywhere, but worth the trip. Need to be self sufficient as site shop only has limited items and nearest alternative is 100km away. Meals are available, that are adequate. Friendly site, with everything going quiet around 9pm. Lots of wildlife and walks in the area. Only downside is very rough few meters on the access over the creek.

Great access to carnarvon gorge, shady sites, unfortunately really bad septic stink every day ,read multiple reviews beforehand and management replied that they were onto it, however we were there weeks later and problem hasn't been fixed, pay big money to smell septic every day, shop doesn't display prices, and we found out why, expect to pay nearly $10 for an ice cream, reception lady was rude and abrupt. Probably over people complaining but what do they expect

My main gripe I mentioned we had a regular vehicle a VW Golf, i asked staff were there any road issues getting to the park. They advised no issues, however just as you enter there is a causeway with water fliwing that was aĺ ok. However, the next 30 meters was a ricky creek crossing. Only suitable for vehicles with high clearance. I spoke to several drivers who also found the crossing unsuitable for their vehicles including a toyota hiace driver. They should warn people about the rocky creek crossing, which is more difficult after rain as rocks the hidden in muddy water. We only used the crossing on arrival and departure as we were afraid of damaging our vehicle. We would advise visitirs to stay elswhere unless they have a vehicle with high clearance. The cabins are expensive, very small, with no cooking facilities and a very small fridge, though there is a very well equiped camp kitchen. We used the wardrobe to store our food as little room in cabins for food storage. The camp ground is in a beautiful setting and the gorge is tremendous. The coffee we bought from the receotion counter was very weak despite asking for a strong coffee and the staff not so helpful.

we enjoyed our cabin, size was good, bed comfy and the decking backing onto the bush was fantastic. Upon check in, the woman was not terribly friendly and seemed to be hurrying me along. The lack of signs to the Platypus viewing area and the 'lookout' was unnecessary.
