There was so much light coming in the windows that I couldn’t sleep or stay asleep. When I asked if there was a different room with curtains I was told that’s why they provided eye masks. The eye mask provided was super uncomfortable. Don’t stay here if you need darkness to sleep or the sun in the morning to judge when it’s time to wake up. Every time I woke up throughout the night I thought the sun was out already. The thermostat was also very wonky. Either so hot or too cold. Clearly it was reading a temperature that wasn’t in the room. The room was clean and the staff was friendly, but that doesn’t matter if I can’t actually sleep.

Interesting theme of traditional office bank building; modern conversion into hotel rooms well done. Room clean and comfortable; also quiet. Bath very nice. Did not eat much in lobby restaurant, but what I had was high quality. Staff very friendly and helpful. Parking about a block away in hotel reserved spaces of large parking garage. Minimal parking charge for a downtown location. Elevator not working in garage during my one-night stay. 😟. Noticed this hotel is only a couple blocks from Amtrak station. Was there on a Tuesday night, and learned they were all booked except for one room. Would definitely recommend as an alternative to the Hotel Roanoke!

Was a very nice stay. Appreciated some of the decor that made it more unique than a typical hotel. Parking was easy. Enjoyed drinks and food at the onsite restaurant. Was walkable to things downtown.

Loved my stay here! The staff was so welcoming, and the rooms were spacious and cozy. The fact that it’s a restored old bank makes it even cooler. You can feel the charm and history throughout the building. Would absolutely stay again.

Cool hotel occupying a former old bank building. Updated very nicely. The room was very nice with new everything. Nice and quiet considering the center city location. Parking is un a garage about a block away. The only issue for us was the lack of a convenient loading area in front of the hotel. You basically have to park in front and shuttle your stuff in the front door to a luggage cart inside the hotel. Overall very happy with the stay.

The restored/converted bank building was very well done. Our room and bed were very comfortable. But the coffee maker was difficult to use. I ordered the steak offering and it was, at best warm, even after sending it back. Only to find out later that they don't have a conventional kitchen and their 'heating' equipment was out of order. But they certainly charged us the food to meet, Unfortunately, loading and unloading luggage is a real challenge because there is no bellman, and the bell cart barely fits through the front door and you cannot get it to street level to load the carpeting, due to the step down curb. In my opinion, they need valet parking because their psrking is a block and a half away on the fourth floors, and when we were there the elevator wasn't working.
