The accommodations and amenities were great. Mike and his mother were professional & accommodating and made us feel welcome.

This place is a hidden gem
Everything was so nice. Very friendly welcome by the staff and the property is well taken care of. The room was cozy and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was delivered in a cute picnic basket and really good. We would definitely recommend and hope to visit again.

This B&B was overpriced for a weeknight. Host largely absent, pool and hot tub closed. The breakfast was poorly prepared and piled unceremoniouslt on the plate. All of the rooms are lovely and it is an interesting property, but for the price, I at least expected a festive meal. WiFi didn’t work.

I was very disappointed to hear of your experience during your stay with us. While an apology will regrettably not alter the outcome of your experience on this occasion, I do extend it with all sincerity. I certainly empathize regarding the points you mention in your review, especially the breakfast you experienced. This level of service is certainly not acceptable wand will be addressed with the concerned party. We have always had snacks and water in the kitchen for guest. Following your suggestion, we are now putting snacks and water in the rooms. Thank you for the feedback on this issue. Our pool was closed due to electrical storm we had the night before and was waiting on the pool service to repair. I am the manager and take full responsibility of being absent. I was under the impression you and your friend wanted to visit together. We would love to offer a free night with us to change your experience view of Towering Oaks Haven. I do recall you and your company enjoying walking on the trails. We are 2 miles from the state park (Ray Roberts) and they have abundance of safe trails for walking and exploring. I booked a room here on April 24, 2018 through ***********. The reservation was for October 13, 2018 because I planned on staying here after a friend's wedding. When I booked, I received an email that stated my payment would be handled by Towering Oaks Haven and I received a confirmation number. I never got any follow up email regarding payment and thought that was strange, so around July of 2018, I tried calling the B&B to confirm that I actually had a room booked so I wouldn't end up without a room when October 13th came around. I called several times but was never able to speak with anyone. On September 7, 2018, I called and left a voicemail explaining my situation and asked for someone to call me back to confirm my reservation. No one ever called me back. I finally made contact with a woman today who checked her calendar and informed me that I did not have a room booked here. I told her I had a confirmation number from *********** and she said "well it shouldn't have let you book because we're full that weekend, maybe that's why it didn't ask you to pay." She then gave me the name of a different bed and breakfast 10 miles away that charges $70 more a night than Towering Oaks. I understand that the booking error was likely due to ***********, but if the owner was responsive to phone messages or just answered the phone, I would have known about this much sooner and would have time to make alternate accommodations. I was really looking forward to staying here based on previous positive reviews, but the unprofessional way this was handled ensured I will never try to book here again.

Emily was amazing and so hospitable! The food was delicious. They did such a great job caring for us. The house was warm and welcome. It was beautiful! Such a great place for the wedding party. It was clean and really nice! We had the sweetest time celebrating here.
