Vicksburg was my first stop on a 17-day road trip that began in northern Kentucky. I spent two nights in the Quarters #1 room which is detached and located behind the main house. The owners, Joe and Macy, were wonderful. Very hospitable and accommodating, not to mention the delicious morning breakfast followed by an informative and historical tour all provided by Macy. I just can't imagine a better place to stay the next time I go through Vicksburg. Thank you Joe and Macy! Dan

Breakfast was great. The staff were wonderful. Property is not in good shape. If you cannot climb stairs or walk on uneven surfaces you should not stay here.

酒店回复: So glad you enjoyed the breakfast and me, but sorry we could not accommodate you in a room with no stairs. We were full that weekend and were happy to relocate you to a room with only one flight of stairs instead of two. If you ever decide to stay here again, call me direct and we can put you in our Master bedroom, if available, with no stairs or uneven surfaces!

Will absolutely be back.
The Corners Mansion Inn is an amazing property with great atmosphere and furnishings depicting the era. The hospitality that Macy and Joe provide is warm, welcoming and inviting. The candlelight breakfast is delicious and don't ,if at all possible, don't miss the tour of the house following breakfast. It is very informative not only about the history of the mansion but covers many key points about the Siege of Vicksburg during the civil war. Our stay was short, but we will be back.

Hostess & owner Macy was so congenial and accommodating. She changed rooms for us as we all are "older" and did not want to try to maneuver the stairs to upper rooms. The breakfast was so delightful, the table setting was so lovely! We enjoyed our view of the river from the chairs and front porch swings. Would definitely recommend and would stay again if we're in the area.

Let me start by saying Macy was great! She is very knowledgeable and a pleasure to speak with. We enjoyed that part. The property, compared to all the other Bed and Breakfast we rode by, looked really bad. Everything was overgrown, grass appeared it hasn’t been cut this year. It just looked rundown honestly. Breakfast was really good and the conversations were enjoyable. When we checked out Joe, Macys husband, came to let us in. We told him we enjoyed the stay and thanked him….. he responded with nothing…. Not a glad you did, hope you come back, thank you for coming….. nothing! He acted like we bothered him. When we talked with him on the phone he was very short, borderline of being rude. No wonder that was the only time we seen him, once was plenty… It bothers me to leave a poor rating because Macy was so nice and a very nice person but I have to be honest, we wouldn’t stay here again.

We scheduled a trip to Vicksburg but didn’t know where to stay. We decided on this location after looking at several. We weren’t disappointed! Macy was a wonderful hostess and a wealth of knowledge. Breakfast was wonderful as well. You can’t go wrong staying here. We stayed a couple days.

We were so excited to stay in this historic home, based on past reviews and even added a second night to our original reservation. We checked in after dark and I wasn’t given directions to our Galleries room which was in the third story of another building around the corner from the main house. Thankfully, I had seen the layout online before we arrived and we eventually found our room. Macy texted soon after, asking if we found our room and apologized for the “stray dogs in our parking lot”. There were three large dogs and one stayed close by, barking as we were unloading and for quite a while afterward. We travel with two small dogs and it didn’t feel safe for them or us. I called the City of Vicksburg and they stated that the Corner’s owner, Macy, had told them not to pick up the stray dogs when animal control had been called out in the past. She was given a solution that would have helped keep guests comfortable and chose not to proceed. We slept in our clothes because the bed was not clean. There were also dead bugs on the floor, and the rugs had not been vacuumed. Macy asked for pictures to show her housekeeper and apologized for the “ladybugs” (cockroaches). There was a coffeemaker provided—about 2 feet from the toilet. The jetted tub was older and based on the general uncleanliness of the room, we could not bring ourselves to use it. There was no shower. Due to these experiences, we chose to leave the B & B early the next morning and not stay the second night as planned. I texted Macy so she wouldn’t have to provide breakfast. The town of Vicksburg was delightful and we enjoyed breakfast and coffee from Bohemia Cafe and Bakery, walked throughout downtown, viewed the Riverfront murals, shopped at a great indoor flea market, and visited the National Military Park. We had some wonderful BBQ from Big Bees and eventually resumed our leisurely journey. Upon arriving home, we found Macy had emailed us a voucher for a free night’s stay at their property. Although I appreciate the gesture and admission of fault, we do not plan to stay there again and this is of no use to us. My husband called this week to discuss and Joe (the other owner) answered. Joe swore at my husband, and said we left early because “we just had somewhere to be” and that we should call our credit card company. Wow. The grounds are gorgeous. We believe the home has been well preserved and the river view from our balcony took us back in time. The neighborhood is sketchy. We are leaving this review to inform travelers such as ourselves: who simply wish for good service, clean rooms and hosts who take ownership of any misses. This visit was a miss. You decide if this is a place for you.

The property is a historic building along the Mississippi shore. Macey is a fantastic hostess, eager to elaborate on the history of the house and Vicksburg in general. This was a very special stay

Like stepping back in time. From the friendly Innkeepers Macy & Don to the beautiful historic home, comfortable accommodations, candlelight breakfast & tour, we had a fantastic experience at The Corners. Perfect place to relax and unwind, we will be back.
