My experience with Treebo Hotels for my stay at Treebo Tryst Glassy Junction, Agra (05/10/2022 to 06/10/2022) was horrible, to say the least. Immediately after entering our details at the receptionist’s table, the lady kept on insisting that we pay the balance amount before we check in. This created a doubt in my mind but still we entered the rooms that were offered to us. We had booked “MAPLE” rooms, which are supposed to be bigger, deluxe rooms, but were sent to standard rooms which were hardly 10 ft by 12 feet in dimension. The matter was referred to Treebo over phone and they changed it to bigger rooms saying that this was done by mistake. Out of the 3 so called "upgraded" rooms, only one had windows the other two rooms had no natural light. The "best" room's fan was taken away, seemed it had gone for repair. The AC temperature could not be changed manually, every time you need to change the temperature, you had to call the reception. The walls looked dirty with shoe marks on the wall of one of the rooms. The bathrooms were shabby, dirty, unhygienic with paan stain on the walls and corners. One of the toilets was overflowing with water due to faulty drainage system. The plumber and the sweeper had to be called twice. For toiletries, nothing else was provided except a small bottle of shampoo and body moisturiser (Dental kits, soap, comb, etc were not provided, as being done by all standard hotels). There was no geyser in the washrooms. Tea kettle and cups were available, but no tea kits were provided. On asking for these, they confirmed their inability to provide the tea kits. This resulted in getting costly tea from the restaurant. When enquired about when the morning tea would be provided, they suggested that we go out and have tea. They have a flamboyant menu card with all veg and non veg items in the list. But, for lunch, when we ordered for vegetarian food, they could provide us was only rice, daal and potato curry (no green vegetables available). At the same time, the notice at the receptionist counter read – “No outside food allowed”. Two persons in our group were diabetic. I lost my temper and had to shout at them. Then they arranged potato gobhi subzee. This is the standard of their food! As promised, the beds were not king size since it could not accommodate me, with my legs going out of the bed….I am 5 ft 10 in tall. As compared to our pleasant experience at Treebo Trend Chalets, Nagpur in February 2021, we never expected Treebo Hotels to be such a disappointment at this place.
