We have been coming here for 30 years . It has slowly gone down hill over the last few years. Staff has quit. Service is poor. Things don't always work . It is steadily going down hill since aldesta group bought it this past year. Very sad.

I’ve been coming to mountainside villas for over 30 years. This year I came to spend time with family for a wedding and was faced with terrible customer service. Both the man and woman were nothing but rude and dismissive. I arrived at 4 to check in, as one would expect to do. I was told that the villa wasn’t ready and it could be “well after 4” by the time it was ready , with no indication how long we could be waiting. We sat around after travelling hours with a car full of stuff. I was called at 5:30 that the villa Was ready , but met again with rudeness when she again said it wasn’t actually ready. When I questioned the check in time, was told “check in is anytime after 4pm” and that we “aren’t a hotel”. This has been so disappointing, after so many happy memories from being here. I don’t know what the hell has happened but unless they change ownership I won’t be coming back.

We have stayed here often in the past and wanted to exchange in for another week at Mountainside. I was troubled by these reviews. I had to call the resort to ask about disabled access. The receptionist with the East Indian accent was unhelpful, abrupt and hung up. I tried again the next day and spoke to the reservations person. I had no reservation yet but a question about accessibility prior to booking. She insisted on obtaining my personal information. She wasn't listening to me. I said I was not in their system but we needed to assured of accessibility prior to booking. She also turned snotty and threatened to hang up. She did eventually answer and apologized but I wouldn't book here now. We have a physically disabled adult daughter and I'd hate to have to deal with these folks if you need anything. Horrible training and attitudes on the front line of service at Fairmont Mountainside. These reviews about bad service seem to be well founded.

Wonderful experience. Dale was so helpful and kind with us, the whole villa was such an amazing place to be and to relax. I wish I could stay much much longer. It is a definitely go back place. Five star

The room was supposed to be with a real fireplace. Unfortunately it was a fake one. It was upsetting because we purposely booked a room with a real fire place. They could have noted us in advance . In this way we would have booked a different property with a fire place.
