We had a very warm welcome and we were ecstatic with our room. The room was spacious, two very comfy chairs and a lovely four poster bed. The shower worked perfectly, and the breakfast was lovely. The owners were really friendly and positive.

Absolutely loved my stay at The Angel Guesthouse in Tiverton! The room was clean, the bed was super comfortable, and the whole place had such a warm, welcoming feel. For the price, it’s an absolute gem. Chris and Sue, the hosts, were genuinely lovely – so friendly and helpful, it felt like staying with old friends. Breakfast was a real highlight each morning – Sue’s homemade sourdough bread was out of this world, and Chris’s perfectly poached eggs set me up for the day. You can really tell they care about every little detail. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

Very honest review. We were in the area and decided to stay for the night. Rang the guest house and we're welcomed from the first call. Yes they could accommodate us and for £55. We arrived at 4.02pm and parked out the front on the main road. You can park there until 11am. On the way over we checked online and saw they were 4 in a bed winners so thought wow we've got a bargain here if it's as good as they say. Rang the ring doorbell and we were greeted by Chris. Very polite and welcoming. Little problem with his WiFi today so card machine wasn't working so we paid in cash. Chris told us about the area, what was open on the evening, where we could eat all very useful information. From the moment you get in the guesthouse it's old looking, little run down and to personal taste of the owners. Cracks in the walls on the way up the stairs, could do with a lick of paint. Got into the room and things got even odder, flamingo duvet covers and pillows on the bed, duvet inside bubbly and very old looking, no table to sit at to do your make up, fake brick wallpaper. Bathroom very old, dirty pipes. Honestly this room was tired. Check the photos. We pre ordered breakfast the night before as requested, I ordered the homemade sausage as extra with my eggs and salmon, extra toast too all of which the next morning came without any fuss. Eggs perfectly poached, my fiance's full English was good. the homemade sausage was very nice . Getting back to the night, the bed was soft, we slept well. Overall, I honestly believe people who do return here do so because of the owners and not because of the facilities. We thought they were lovely people couldn't fault anything they did, but please give the place a going over and believe me you will get even more customers.

Breakfast was perfect, homemade sausages and preserves. Room was clean and tidy. Parking was excellent with a small additional cost. Very close to town and supermarket.

Nice guesthouse with very friendly hosts. Breakfast was really nice. Would have been 5 star, but they didn’t answer our phone calls or messages before arrival. Also, room decoration is starting to get a little dated and tired.

From the warm welcome from the owners to the attentive service in both showing us to our room, explaining the pre-ordering firm for breakfast with its large selection. The ensuite room was both perfectly warm ( February) and well appointed with a very comfortable bed ensuring a great night(s) sleep. Kettle with a selection of tea, coffee and even biscuits was supported by a mini fridge. Breakfast was absolutely delicious with locally sourced products and even included homemade sausages! Just perfect. 5*

Chose to stay here for a work trip as I like to be in the town where possible and avoid big hotels where I can. I travel a lot and I may as well make the most of it and get to see a place from the inside. This b&b is in town and a short walk from everything (about 15 mins in a taxi from the station which is out of town) Fortunately I did choose small and friendly, since my company travel portal let us all down and my reservation hadn’t been received. I arrived out of hours without a reservation and no payment guarantee. A bigger hotel would have left me in reception until it had been sorted but the lovely people at The Angel found me a room and trusted me to sort things out. Which we did. Eventually. They were very patient but more than happy to help me. Breakfast is preordered which is great and it was exactly what I wanted - and there was plenty of it. It’s a typical little guest house. An eclectic mix of decor and furniture that’s obviously very personal to the owners and geared towards making your stay comfortable. I slept very well in a dark room with no outside noise. It was also great value.
