We stayed in Unit 202 which is 4 bedroom, 2 bath. The space was perfect for four couples. The location was ideal as it was a half a block to get on the St Charles trolley and a block off Canal St. There is lots of activity on the block at all hours of the day and night. There are restaurants next door that have trash and employees outside often so if you're looking for a clean hotel experience this might not be the place for you. But if you're looking for a great space, close to transportation with the New Orleans vibe this one might be for you. We did have two issues. The first was there was only three hand towels/washrags for 7 of us. I did use the app and they brought two more sets which we made due with. The second was an alarm going off each morning in the apartment across the hall. Again I reported via the App and it was turned off by the time we returned. Customer service was good.

Where do I begin? Great location….That’s It!!! We were given units 101 and 201 and neither were in typical Sonder condition. As a frequent flyer of Sonder I can say the Gallier first and second floors units are NOT up to any hotel standard. Let’s start with there are no windows. Complete darkness especially when the entire second floor hall had no lights and the 101 unit had light bulbs blown. The frig in unit 101 didn’t work, the dishwasher in 201 leaked and ran all over the floor. Lucky for us the floors are unfinished concrete. Yup, concrete and no carpet. The one area rug in the living room was filthy. The walls are concrete as well with drilled holes throughout which looks like both units were not finished renovation before renting. None of the bedrooms have closets. Some only have one night stand. There is absolutely no place to store clothes or luggage. The bathrooms have towel racks that fell off the walls and the sinks are so small you can barely put a cup for rinsing on it. There is no storage in the bathroom so prepare to live out of your suitcase. After 5 calls and two nights to get lights and a working frig…they finally agreed to move us to the third floor in unit 301. NIGHT and DAY difference. Windows, rugs, wood floors, dining area to eat…and closets! Very nice! I recommend that the Gallier units 101 and 201 be renovated again. If there’s a fire there is no way to get out or call for help in those units . One way in with two additions doors before an actual exit doesn’t seem safe to be. If you can’t rent the 3rd or 4th floor units stay at the Jung. They are absolutely wonderful!

Love the space and love how close it is to everything. Safe and secure tooo….we just walked to everything …just one black from bourbon and the trolley is right outside the front door. Would definitely stay again and again!

We travel all the time and Sonder is a GEM. From their amazing customer service to the amenities and space, we were SO impressed. The location was perfect for us. Within walking distance to everything, but far enough away to sleep at night without the chaos of New Orleans. The apartment was even better than in photos. It was clean, had ample space and everything we needed for our trip. We’re already looking ahead to our next Sonder stay.

The location is excellent. Just off Canal and very close to Bourbon St. We weren't sure about the neighborhood when we booked, but can say it was very safe and convenient. The Sonder Gallier entrance is sandwiched between two restaurants at street level, and there are other restaurants on the street and a CVS on the corner. We would definitely stay here again given the convenience of the location. We were in Room 201 which is a 4-bedroom unit. It is very spacious. As previous reviewers have warned, there are NO windows with an outside view. We were aware of this due to the reviews and detailed inspection of the photos Sonder has on their website room listing. The unit is exactly as described by Sonder but guests should be aware of the no-window situation in case that bothers you. It is a very quiet unit. We referred to it as "our bunker" -- it was quiet and had no views of the outside (which provided complete darkness for the teens who like to sleep in!). If you are booking 201, be aware that the clothes dryer is still NOT operational. Another reviewer noted this in August 2022 and as of May 2023 it still isn't working. The other review I would reiterate is the lack of shelves, hooks, and toilet seat in the first bathroom. There is no room or space for personal belongings or hanging towels. The shower is very nice but the bathroom itself could be better outfitted for functionality. (These inconveniences are why I rate it a 4 not a 5.) All in all, it was definitely worth-what-paid and we would book again! (We also stayed in a Sonder in Nashville and can say they are consistently clean and they represent their properties accurately on their website.)

Great spot in a great location. It is in walking distance from Bourbon and Canal Street. The an apartment was clean and there was plenty of room for the 6 of us. Having an early check in/check out was easy to request.

I booked Sonder The Gallier for my joint Bachelorette/Bachelor Trip with a group of 7 including two couples. It was a perfect amount of space. I wish the apartment had windows and more surface area to set things down on in the smaller of the two bathrooms and the bedrooms, but overall, the location was outstanding, the building felt very secure and wasn't noisy, and there was plenty of comfortable space for our whole group to hang out!

Spacious apartment, excellent location, and had everything I needed! The check-in / check-out process was really easy and they were flexible with timing. Would definitely stay again. Only complaint was the AC was not on/ apartment was really hot when we got there. The fan in bedroom #2 also didn't seem to work.

Beds were comfy, apartment was clean and super roomy! Bathrooms were amazing! Great location. Close to Bourbon street but also far enough away to avoid some of the craziness when we were ready for bed. Loved our stay and would love to stay again.
