My wife and I stayed at the Kocadon Museum Hotel for three nights at the beginning of a John Graham Tour of Anatoli, the ancient name for the southwestern coast of Turkiye, Our tour of historic Greek and Turkish islands and isolated coves from A 139' sailing Gulet offered an ideal means of visiting ancient isolated maritime sites. The Kocadon is a lovely small hotel situated 100 meters or so off Bodrum's main area of restaurants, music venues, shopping bazaar, and harbor marina filled with hundreds of beautiful sailing boats. An ancient Crusader castle is located there where it houses a world class archeological museum of Bronze Age, Greek, and Bysantine era ships that wrecked along the unforgiving Anatolia coast over thousands of years. Bodrum is the crown jewel of Turkiye's lovely Turquoise Coast and the Kacadon Museum Hotel offers a warm and inviting location from which to enjoy it.
