In my first visit to Gir I stayed at Sterling Rudra Gir Resort. The resort is located in a forest like area and the last stretch of the access road is about 1 km of gravel road, so it is bit difficult for small cars to reach the resort. The resort is having duplex buildings and around 30 rooms. I stayed there from 13th to 16th Jan in Room no. 201. The room is spacious and have a small balcony and a swing in front. The room is moderately decorated and has a queen size bed, TV, Electric Kettle. One small table with two chairs were present. The bath room is also big with shower area, WC and washbasin. The usual sachets of coffee, Tea, milk and sugar were provided. In the bathroom various kits like toothpaste, brush, comb, Soap etc were also provided. However, the service is very bad in the resort. 1. The resort is located in the National Park area. I therefore assume that the guests will come to visit the Gir National Park. So, it is a normal expectation to have a free shuttle service from the resort to the Sinh Sadan. But such service is available with a high price of Rs.1,400/- for 13km (Drop & pick up). 2. 13th was Lohri, loud music was played till 2am undermining guests’ rest or sleep, those who were not interested in celebrating Lohri 3. 15th we had morning and evening safari and the room was not cleaned because I did not deposit the room key in the reception. However, there was no such notice displayed in the reception or ever mentioned by the staff. Finally, they cleaned the room at 8pm 4. Assistant Manager Room Service Mr. Umaraman Tiwari was always complaining about the resort management to the guest that in spite of his illness he was not given leave 5. The vegetarian food served in the restaurant was awful and unpalatable Overall, it was a very bad experience. I will at all cost avoid this property and will also suggest same to my friends and family to avoid this property.

Suraj took the time to explain the menu, offered thoughtful recommendations, and ensured that every dish was served exactly as requested. His knowledge, professionalism, and attention to detail truly stood out. Any small request we had was handled promptly and with a positive attitude, which made a big difference in how relaxed and valued we felt as guests.

I would like to appreciate the excellent service provided by Mr. Suraj, Rajesh & Vimal at Sterling Gir restaurant. He was extremely polite, attentive, and ensured that we had a comfortable and pleasant dining experience. Suraj was knowledgeable about the menu, quick to respond to our requests, and always had a warm, welcoming attitude. His professionalism and friendly nature truly added to our overall experience. Great job, and keep up the good work!

A serene place in a beautiful setting amidst mango and other trees. This resort was on the smaller side as compared to other Sterling resorts that I have stayed in but did not lack in facilities like a good sized swimming pool, game room etc. The service was also very caring and personalized. Our rooms were big with a lovely balcony attached to the first floor room and a swing outside the groung floor room. Mr. Umaraman Tiwari, the resort manager was extremely hospitable and went out of his way to make sure that we had a very comfortable stay. The chef and kitchen staff were also checking with us frequently to make sure that the food met our likes and needs. Everything was cooked fresh and as per our requirement. Overall, a wonderful stay. I do need to mention that the road to the resort (approx. 1 km) is very very bumpy but this comes under the forest dept. and Sterling can't do anything about it. There was just one small annoying part about the stay -- the repeated requests by the manger and chef and several other staff to provide (positive) feedback on Tripadvisor. This is not unique to this Sterling but I have experienced similar requests at other Sterling resorts.

We celebrated our parents’ 25th wedding anniversary at the resort, and our entire 5-day stay was truly delightful. From check-in to check-out, everything was well-managed, comfortable, and peaceful, making our stay very memorable. The 25th anniversary setup was beautifully arranged with great attention to detail,and for this special thanks to Mr. Suraj for their cooperation and help throughout the event. exactly as we had envisioned. It added a special charm to the celebration and made the occasion even more meaningful for our family. We would like to specially appreciate the support, guidance, and cooperation of the front office staff, throughout our check in and check out and all these days by which our trip was happy and stress-free special thanks to Mr. Aryan for helping throughout our whole stay. A heartfelt thanks to the housekeeping team specially Mr. umaraman tiwari as well—the rooms were always clean, fresh, and well-maintained during our entire stay. Their consistent effort and attention to cleanliness truly enhanced our experience. Thank you for making such an important milestone so special and memorable for us. We highly recommend the resort for extended stays as well as for celebrating special occasions.

The sterling gir is one of the best sterling resort in the franchise in my opinion, the staff is really polite and supportive in case of any issue and they're always there to help out the customers in all situations. The place gives a mix of both calm and satisfactory vibes. The bon fire during night time was one of the best bet experience for an after dinner sitting, The staff members were really good and Mr. Aryan, Mr. Suraj and Mr. Omar amr tiwari ji are the reason the stay was special . The surrounding area is very quiet and peaceful. The location gives a thrill as the resort is situated in the forest The rooms are really clean and the housekeeping staff is always working and keeps the area clean This resort definitely felt like a value for money and it's a must visit for everyone looking forward to have some peaceful time with their loved ones Regards Harsh dixit
