We booked with some trepidation having read the reviews but were pleasantly surprised. Our room was on the 3rd (top) floor so perhaps we were lucky as other reviewers complained about noise. I would say this is not a hotel for a holiday but for a night it was fine. There was little room to move around the bed and nowhere to store anything or unpack but again, not a problem when staying a single night. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom clean and tidy. There is a lift but you may still need to carry luggage up or down as the hotel is on many levels.

Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. It’s an old style building though- so you can hear people in the street or going up/down the corridor outside. Doesn’t bother me- but would be disturbing for a light sleeper. However- Ilfracombe is a sleepy Devon town so there is no noise after pubs shut or before 6am

We were due to stay in this hotel last weekend however my mom passed away on the Wednesday totally unexpected. I asked if they would refund the 2 nights stay and their reply was lacking empathy or any kind of human decency. Whilst I appreciate that my booking was non refundable, I would not have asked if it was due to something on my part such as some other emergency etc… however I felt my mom passing away could have been met with more kindness.

It’s a very nice hotel not a lot of noise but the WiFi in certain rooms doesn’t work well and the phone signal isn’t strong enough to counteract it

We had breakfast included in the price from ******* but when we got to the hotel they were charging £2 less for each breakfast

Just returned from a lovely stay at the Grand Harbour. The hotel was really clean, the staff were really friendly, and it was great value for money. There isn’t any parking, but lots of nearby car parks. The food was nice, and lovely views over the harbour from its sister hotel. The only down side was the drinks were a little pricey. Would recommend it for a nice break near the harbour.

Room was clean and comfortable, looked newly refurbished. Bathroom nice and clean. Shower good. Loads of hot water. Check in staff lovely. Very warm and polite. Breakfast staff again bey nice . Room rates very reasonable.
