We were stopping in on an overnighter before heading on. The hotel reception area and staff were very helpful but from there, we rapidly came across the areas for improvement. Firstly, there's no lifts which was fine for us but could be an issue for others. The room was nice enough and everything worked ok but when we went to find the restaurant/bar, we found it is more like a breakfast room, with no one there. Reception found the "waiter" (who was also the porter IIRC) and the meal was nice enough but it was served in a small seated area with as much atmosphere as a train station waiting room. Anyway, we then went to find the bar only to discover there doesn't seem to be one. There's a closed ballroom, a closed dive centre, a blacked out "club", a fancy table for seaside dining, but no sign of a bar, so it was back to the "waiting room" to find the one chap who seems to do everything, then sit by the pool with a drink. The railings besides the pool area threatened to collapse when leant upon and in daylight, the pool looked far less appealing than by night and needed some TLC. That sums the place up really - it could be a lovely little hotel with a little TLC and some investment. Instead, it looks tired and the feeling we got was that it was effectively closed or about to close, and no one was trying to take anything further. The staff did what they could but there was only 3-4 of them as far as we could see (about the same as the number of guests). Such a pity.

Fairly convenient to the airport and harbor, which is why I chose it for one night before a liveaboard. I definitely overpaid @$50 on ******* so I would shop around. Good: property is attractive, the pool looked clean enough when I was there, the room was spacious, the a/c worked tirelessly to keep room fairly cool and dry, and I thought the included full breakfast was good. Not so great: uneven cleanliness eg dirty bathmat and room, only two bath towels, no handtowel or wash cloth, TV only got 10 Indonesian channels, cable apparently out, clueless service with five male staff gawking at me dragging my luggage to reception, many outlets didn't work, etc. It could be really nice if more attention to cleaning and maintenance.

Facilities quite nice, pool is lovely, as is the lobby and garden, the aircon and fridge work well, its very quiet being far from the road and mosque loudspeakers. Service is friendly. The other recent reviews are spot on; two decades old rough towels that stink of tobacco, no bathmat provided. Sheets torn and stained. Wifi so slow we must use hotspot from sim card on my wife's phone. TV has just 10 Indonesian channels. Breakfast is worst I've seen, and they allow smoking inside! We stormed out soon after, not that there was anything to eat, no eggs, no juice just a few sad items. When I saw the breakfast list of guest I realized why, less than 10 guests in the entire hotel and other than the 2 sm,okers at breakfast have not seen or heard anybody. Deserted. Surely was once nice but terrible management has ruined it.

Lots of great things about property but also a lot that could be better, especially about cleaning and a lot of things not working

Not a resort. First, the good: bed and pillows comfortable, sheets clean, room spacious, property quiet, grounds are attractive, waterfront, fridge and kettle in room, a/c adequate, strong shower, checkin smooth, staff friendly, good breakfast (Indonesian food mostly.) Not so good: 100k Rp charged for 5 minute airport transfer I thought was included (at excessive price I paid), only 2 bath towels and a dirty bathmat, no hand towels or washcloths, no tissues, dirty curtains and walls, bedside lamps didn't work, outlet by kettle didn't work, safe was locked and unusable despite many warnings about theft from rooms. I skipped dinner based on previous reviews. Overall this place has a lot of potential. A convenient location for overnight before liveaboard.

Surprisingly excellent restaurant!
