We stayed as a family of three for a 2-day Diwali getaway (2025) at Sterling Darjeeling, booking a classic room with a partial view of the Kanchenjunga range. The room was comfortable overall, though it could use better upkeep — the curtains had visible dark spots, and behind them, we found cobwebs and a few spiders. Some furniture corners were dusty, but the bathroom was clean with good water pressure, and hot water was available most of the time. We opted for both breakfast and dinner, and thoroughly enjoyed the food. A special mention to Chef Sushil, who served us an absolutely delicious masala dosa — crispy, flavorful, and easily one of the highlights of our stay. Highly recommended! The Chinese dishes, however, didn’t feel quite authentic in taste. One evening, the resort organized a lovely bonfire that added to the festive warmth. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly, courteous, and attentive. The resort’s viewpoint offers a breathtaking sight of the Kanchenjunga range — truly unmissable. Located a short walk from Ghum station, it’s easy to catch affordable shared taxis to Darjeeling town. The local people are incredibly kind and welcoming.

It was amazing experience to stay at sterling resort Darjeeling, All the staffs are polite, humble and so nice to everyone. Evening bonfire with musical event was awesome. Dining area is also great, one can take view of sunrise with himalayas from here.
