Nice "old school" motel that is clean/comfortable.
Boy, does this place take me back to my childhood when places like this were the norm. A cute, little roadside motel that was so common in the 1960s/70s, before the generic and bland chain hotels took over. Though dated (obviously), the room was clean and comfortable. The service was very good and the one staff member that checked me in was friendly and helpful.
I really enjoyed the "throwback" feel of this place, and felt a real sense of nostalgia staying there. We need more places like the Lamberton Hotel.

We never ended up staying at OYO as in error I booked the incorrect check-in date by 1 day. I was unaware of this until one of the hotel staff called me at 9:15PM the night before we thought checkin was to see if we were coming. At that point I realized my error and asked the gentleman to change my checkin date to the following evening…..his reply was this was a non-refundable reservation and I would need to call *******. This motel is in a town of under 800 people and you would expect a more courteous attempt to make a customer happy. I wasn’t trying to get my money refunded I just needed my checkin date moved 1 day later. The only reason I can think that a motel would call to see if you were coming was to allow them to book the room that was already reserved, I have no proof of that just my assumption. We still went to the museum in Walnut Grove but we refused to stay at this hotel and pay them any more money. Extremely disappointed in the lack of customer service, something I wouldn’t expect at all from a small town business. I did contact ******* for help but they couldn’t get anyone at the hotel to answer the phone that late at night and I didn’t get anymore communication from them either after 20 hours from my initial contact with *******. We ended up driving out of our way to stay over at another motel and don’t book through ******* or OYO. Just a bad experience. I totally understand I evidently made a 1 day error on my check-in date but give some grace!

Best Accomodations in the Price Point for the area
Make no mistake about it, The Lamberton Motel (OYO) is the best option within an hour drive if it's location within its price point.
It's not the Ritz Carlton, but it's mostly quiet and even more importantly, it is CLEAN. Many hotels in Redwood Falls (and apparently New Ulm and Willmar) are absolutely disgusting. At least one place I can attest to from experience, the rest I strongly suspect based on the reviews pattern.
If you have to come to this part of the state and are on a tight budget, book here.

At check in he went through the hotel book. He even recommended a place for supper and called ahead to let them know we were coming. The stay was very nice

Nothing really unique but i dont care it was a room which had beds, TV, fridge etc. There was nothing outstanding about the place but nothing bad about it either. Sure it could use some sprucing up in certain areas but i never once was like i wouldnt stay here again. Owner was very friendly and we felt safe the whole time. So overall it was priced fairly and provided us with what we needed which was a place to sleep after we were out all day exploring the area.
这是一家路边的酒店/汽车旅馆，就在高速公路边上的一个小镇里！酒店很老旧，装修风格也不搭调，我觉得可能是一个男的装饰和粉刷的吧，哈哈哈，没什么东西是配套的，但我的房间很干净！我不是个挑剔的人，就想找个地方睡一晚。办理入住的时候，那个小哥非常乐于助人也很友好。我喜欢熬夜，所以半夜想吃点微波炉爆米花，结果微波炉要么温度太高了，要么就是我买的爆米花不好。不到两分钟就烧得一塌糊涂，把烟雾警报器都弄响了……哈哈哈，房间里到我早上离开的时候味道都特别大。我肯定把邻居都吵醒了，为此我感到抱歉。如果你只是需要一个睡觉的地方，这里没问题，而且价格也不会贵得离谱！我下次还会再住的。
