We had a fabulous stay at this sweet inn. After a week of hiking and exploring the Big Bend, we had a wonderful stay. The room s large, bright and comfortable. The house is a gorgeous, historical inn with high ceilings and ambiance. Breakfast is amazing. We enjoyed the hot tub! Thank you for all the hiking tips in the Davis mountains.

A pleasant stay with an unpleasant ending… We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Alpine Bed and Breakfast. Sharon was very friendly and showed us everything personally. In the evening, we enjoyed a bath in the hot tub with a view of deer. When Sharon showed us the room, she assured us that everything in this BnB was washed, including the bedspread, which we really appreciated, as this is not the case in all hotels. That's why we didn't mind that the extra-large bath towel, which Sharon even showed us during the tour of the house, had a few yellow stains on it. We used it to dry off after showering and didn't think anything of it. Unfortunately, a few days after our stay, an amount was debited from our credit card. When I asked what this was for, Sharon explained that it was the cost of replacing the bath towel with the yellow stains. When I pointed out that the stains were already there before we used them and that she must have seen them when she showed us the towel, she accused me of lying. I did not get my money back because I unfortunately had no evidence to support my claim. This casts a big shadow over what was otherwise a lovely stay. I recommend that anyone staying there check the furnishings and towels etc. carefully and report even minor inconsistencies so that they are not charged afterwards for damage that is not their fault (if you can even call stains damage). It's a real shame and unprofessional.

Sharon and Tom were delightful host. From the moment we arrived they greeted us warmly. They took us around the property to explain the amenities and giving us a history of the building we were staying in. They were very detailed and clear with their communication. We were given a menu about what the choices were for breakfast; I must say everything was absolutely fantastic. Good , clean, healthy and diverse choices for what you'd like to eat. While eating breakfast we were asked if we'd like recommendations for the day which they had printed out and very clear which was very nice. The place itself was beautiful and felt like a home away from home. We will definitely be back.

Wow. That’s the word that comes to mind when thinking about our stay at Alpine Bed and Breakfast. We booked last-minute after a bad VRBO experience. They had our room ready 15 minutes after we booked. Tom met us at the door and gave us a full tour, making us feel right at home and comfortable using features like the swamp cooler on the porch, the firepit, the hot tub, and the communal fridge and coffee makers. The house was beautiful, old and charming yet extremely clean. Eagle Peak was perfect for us, with a king bed, walk-in shower, table for drinking coffee in the morning, and great extra touches like robes, ear plugs for the train (which is not very loud), and high-quality towels and rags. We’d be more than comfortable in any of the four rooms. Breakfast was unbelievable. Our favorites were the cheese danish with berries and the avocado toast! Tom and Sharon are wonderful hosts, and we will absolutely be making Alpine Bed and Breakfast our home base when visiting Alpine and the area in the future!

Alpine B&B is located on a quiet street a few blocks from the main drag. Its driveway can accommodate only a few cars, however, limitless parking is available on the street. Rooms are not large, and somewhat spartan in an old-fashion looking way. A pair of earplugs welcomes you on the night table, on an account that B&B is located a few blocks from the rail line. However they are totally unnecessary - our room was facing the rail line and the passing night train is just barely audible! It actually was kind of cool to hear it (we weren't asleep at the time, but if we were, the sound wouldn't wake us) As others have mentioned, Tom and Sharon are gracious hosts. And then there is the breakfast! Yes, its that good...and then some. In fact we started making a few if the items at home after Sharon shared the recipe.

The people that run this place are amazing and kind. The room is excellent and hudge. My wife and i waled outside and there were 1 mule deer buck and 3 doe!!!!

Best place to stay in Alpine!!!!

Our third or fourth stay at Alpine B&B and we love it every time. We always stay in the Twin Sisters room because we enjoy having the private patio and hot tub. Breakfast is always fresh and delicious, and Sharon and Tom are such great hosts! Only note is the bed is very firm so if you like a pillowy soft mattress, just be advised. You won’t be disappointed in your stay at Alpine B&B!
