I stayed at this resort for two days as part of a team conference. The property is quite far from the airport — approximately a 1 hour 40 minute drive. Although the hotel arranged a bus for our group, it would have been thoughtful to provide water bottles during the journey. Once we arrived, the sheer scale of the hotel was impressive. Spread across 68 acres with access to a private beach, the surroundings are truly superb. My room was spacious, with a balcony and a pleasant view. However, the room controls were a bit confusing. The bedside lamp had no visible switch, only a regulator, which I figured out after a day. The food was average; we had six meals during our stay and felt that it could be improved, especially considering the overall standard of the property. The hotel carries an old-world charm, but some of the toiletries and amenities did not match five-star expectations. There are also some minor details that the hotel management could pay closer attention to. On a positive note, the staff members were consistently helpful and courteous throughout our stay, which added warmth to the experience. Overall, it’s a beautiful resort with great potential, but a few enhancements—particularly in food quality, room amenities, and attention to detail—would make the stay truly exceptional.
