Incredible pub bistro, gorgeous fire place sensational food and incredible service. We booked and ran late from Sydney, called and the girl serving could not have been nicer. She explained when the kitchen closed and when we arrived couldn’t do more to accomodate us. Every dish was excellent, highest quality bistro food up with any gastro pub in Sydney. We will definitely be back!

We were looking for somewhere to eat. This is opposite the railway station. It was a random choice. We are in Goulburn for steam punk weekend. The food was great. I had Crispy skin Duck on a celeriac mash with bacon sprouts. Mary had black salmon. We were entertained by a local clubs meat trays raffle. The hotel is slightly quirky. A good play list. An open fire not lit tonight it was a sunny spring day today. The chef came out to check we were happy. We are planning on coming back tomorrow.

Wotif falsely advertised room as having 2 double beds. The hotel does not have rooms with 2 double beds. Yet we paid for the advertised 2 bed room. The room did have a few holes in the wall and cobwebs in the corner of the room, stained bed cover but clean sheets and towels. The communal showers were filthy. Would not trust Wotif or stay at this hotel again

The hotel is from long gone by era, but for some reason was not updated along the way and is badly lacking comforts of today (at least in terms of accommodation).

An older property which has seen better days but for its price, the rooms were large and cosy, staff were friendly and the location was incredibly convenient. Will definitely stay there again.

We dined at this pub on the recommendation of a local. The atmosphere was good as the place was frequented by friendly locals. It was nice and warm on a chilly autumn night. The meal were pleasant and the local wine from a Sutton Forest vineyard was very good. Would definitely go back.

Some country pubs arr charming and nostalgic. This one is not - its just old and dusty. The room rate is about double what it should be. Any wonder i had the place to myself. Avoid.

Foods great but the layout of the hotel, where drunks walk through one of the main eating areas on the way to the toilet, is poor. The front bar, also needs some added ventilation. Came here on a Thursday night for dinner, the front bar stunk of BO, no open windows for ventilation and a very undersized split system to air condition the place. Unfortunately, great food won’t be a big enough draw card to outweigh the drunken, smelly, foul mouthed, hi-viz wearing tradies all throughout the pub. Not family or women friendly at all.
