A wonderful sat at a very special place. Graet care and attention has gone into the renovation of this hill fort. The resulting rooms, spaces and food is excellent. It is very quiet and peaceful there not a party destination which is what we wanted.

If you want to see the real India, this is your destination! The property is a beautifully restored old fort that is meticulously maintained by the 12th (I think) generation of the original owners. The intimate resort has luxury accommodations with a rustic feel. We stayed in a spacious and luxurious tent (with air conditioning and full bathroom facilities), which turned out to be fun. With only a dozen rooms, it's easy to get to know both the owners and the other guests. The staff could not be nicer! We participated in various activities including an evening jeep ride to witness a beautiful sunset, a guided morning boat ride on Kalisil Lake, visits to the local temples, and walks through the local village and town. Because this destination is outside of most tourist itineraries, you leave with a great sense of and appreciation for the local community. It surely was a highlight of our trip to India.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Ramathra Fort. The location is stunning—it sits high on a hill with a beautiful view of the lake and the countryside. It is the perfect place if you want peace and quiet away from the city. The Luxury Tent ⛺️ are very spacious and comfortable. They have a great old-world charm but still feel luxurious. The highlight for us was the wildlife! During our night safari we were lucky enough to spot a hyena, fox, jackal, and wild boar. The night jungle safari was amazing and very exciting. We also enjoyed the peaceful boating on the lake, the village walk, and the delicious homemade food. If you are looking for a unique heritage experience, this is the place to be!"

A very special place - well worth the journey to discover. A haven of quietness in busy India. Exceptionally hospitable and kind staff who want to do everything to please you. The food is locally grown and cooked - and was delicious. Highly recommend.

Very good experience. Location is stunning. Excellent views. We saw many birds on the rowing boat trip and the walk to the village was enlightening. Food was very enjoyable and the staff were very attentive and helpful.
