Hadar at reception works very hard and apparently holds the place together. But for $170 this was a very disappointing experience even if this is, after all, Tel Aviv. The room smelled vaguely of cigarettes even if it has been non-smoking for an extended period. The bed is very narrow, the room closet-like and not particularly clean. Spent another $50 for a real hotel room with a normal-sized bed, pleasant decor and outstanding breakfast (not included at Belle Boutique).

This hotel deserves no more than 2 stars. It is old and poorly maintained with very unfriendly staff. No elevators make lugging suitcases a difficult task....please note that the 1st floor rooms don't start until the second floor. The rooms are small with minimal decorations and although clean, they seem dirty because everything looks so old. It is only 1 block from the water so if you have a limited budget this might be the place for you anyway. Parking is available.

Staff is friendly and the location is perfect right across the plaza from Jerusalem beach.
But my room was very shabby and beat up. Maybe other rooms in the hotel are better but mine was more like a service room with beat up basic furniture. I’m need of major renovation.
