Needed a quick room in Myrtle for the night. 2-hour drive away Saturday pulled it up on the internet and saw studio 6 and vividly remember pictures associated with it that in no way led me to believe it was motel 6. The price seemed affordable for what I needed and I have no foreknowledge of the location. I pulled in and realized this is a motel 6 and reserved any judgment. Immediately I noticed the around the outside of the hotel seem to have dogs. Pitbulls to be exact and immediately knew I was not at an embassy suites. The lobby and hallways were dated and I could pick up a smell there was not totally offensive but in no way pleaseing. Walls were definitely dingy and matched the smell. I was reluctant to move much of my baggage to the room and immediately upon entering the room checked for bed bugs. I will give a plus, no bed bugs, the sheets and linen were very clean, however the bed reminded me of institutions I worked in as a counselor and corrections officer. Still frame hard laminate floor and springy bed. The walls had smears on them and could have used the fresh paint job for the last 10 years. It served its purpose but surely lived up to what I would expect from a motel 6 and was not a completely horrific day since I only needed a place to sleep. The most detractable thing was the deception on the website with pictures not showing the motel 6 sign and somehow my stupidity and missing studio 6 and not clicking that it was a motel 6.

Need to put ac on 70. We had to go out and buy febreeze to get the musty smell out of bed covers and room. Commode seat was loose. We changed the light bulb (no biggy) there was black curls hair on the side of bath tub. just ask for a refresh before you get your room and hope its refreshed. It was convenient for our travel.

Staff was absolutely wonderful but they need some serious renovations. The outside looks great and very deceiving. The inside room that we were in everything was practically falling off the walls. Won’t stay here again.

The staff cancelled the reservation and we had to find a new place to stay in the middle of the night.

It Was ok:
The kitchenette looked old and unsightly as if you did not want to use it; The set up of the beds in the room did not allow full view of the flat screen TV that was there; Whenever you left your room to leave the building you could smell smoke and the other kind of smoke that is still illegal in some states; Overall, room was clean, staff were ok and I liked that it was pet friendly.

Stayed for 2 days late August 25. Wonderful stay for a family on a budget! Friendly staff, very quiet. Bed could have been a lil more comfortable about the only complaint.

They never came in to clean the room some of the employee's was so helpful and kind that was our first time in south carolina but would co.e back there agai

Do not stay here
First of all the hotel definitely is outdated from the pictures. Smoking smell throughout the hotel even though in a no smoking room. Room was definitely not what the pictures showed, it was run down and felt unsafe and disgusting. I ho estly was waiting for bed bugs to crawl over me. Could hear absolutely everything from the room above us and the keylocked blue side door is easily Be to be broke into. Sorry to say but thouught this would be a nice hotel but should have realized with how much we spent that it would be ghetto.
