Great location, fine parking area, clean and nice room, wonderful bed, superb shower, and very friendly host. I would come back if ever in the area again. Highly recommend it!

The room was fine, nothing was missing or dirty. They did have all the windows open instead of using the aircon, which was understandable given the nice weather outside but it meant that, with the constant breeze, lots of pollen was being blown into the room. Since I have bad spring allergies, I was unhappy knowing that the clean pillowcases had pollen all over them. Also the room had a small “air freshener” type box on the wall that was spraying something every few minutes. My husband and I had to look it up to find out that it was some kind of bug repellant that was almost certainly intended for a larger sized room. We didn’t want insect repellant being sprayed into the room constantly that we then had to breathe in, so we figured out how to turn it off. The shower was nice though. I really liked the water pressure. It did get water all over the bathroom floor though, since we were in a room with an accessible shower that didn’t have a divider other than a curtain. The lady at the front desk also seemed standoffish and kind of irritated that we were there, which was odd for the proprietor of a hotel.

Just a motel really nothing flash , bathroom was a let down ,shower head was terrible wide over powering spray and made the floor mat outside soaked every time. Looks like the shower gets a basic wipe down but has a lot of gross build up in the corners which was off putting to us .

Convenient location close to town, restaurants and town gardens. Room was clean, but geez it was small for two people. No place to really eat in our room or put your suitcase if you have anything bigger than a backpack. Hosts were friendly and helpful.

We were on our way from south island to north island and stayed at Bella Vista for one night. It was just 30 mins away from picton where we took the ferry to wellington.
