It's tired & needs work in all areas. I didn't find anything about our caravan stay of 3 nights appealing & definitely would not go back. It advertised as having 55 species of birds but that's certainly not the case & what we saw were only the very common ones that you can see easily & often almost anywhere. No-one was seeing any kiwis which is what they overly advertise to get the public there. We saw no sign at all & barely heard their call. My husband went out carefully & stealthfully looking several times throughout the 3 late evenings once it was dark as that's why we went. We were on a site right by a swamp (sandflies galore) & by the main road (traffic noise) in the wet grass that wasn't cared for in the way it should be. The grass needed mowing over again as the cuttings from the previous time were lying there making one heck of a mess. The mobile cafe sat closed even though it was the days between Xmas & New Year. I could go on but there's no point except to say we are elderly & I cannot walk far so asked if we could drive in & look at the sites before booking but were barred from doing so even though my husband explained. We stupidly still booked as he really wanted to go birdwatching given the advertising. What a joke!

This is such a lovely retreat, all credit to manager Kelly and her family. She went out of her way to make us feel welcome and it was much appreciated.
The refurbished rooms were nice, clean and warm and the private shower was awesome.
We had an awesome time and were lucky to see two kiwi on the grass near the bush even though it was raining, and we heard lots more. It was really magical!

This has to be one of the worst accommodation stays in NZ. We booked a cabin with family visiting from the UK. We left after the first night due to the appalling conditions of this cabin the the grounds facilities. There were stains everywhere, broken rangehood, broken shower and bathroom that smelt like Urine. The camp facilities were no better with broken shower amenities, a smoking shack that was full of cigarette butts and broken concrete seats etc (there are kids around this area it was disgusting). These are only a few of the worst things. When we left we wanted to speak with someone but there was no one in the office, just locked up with no return time etc. I sent a text, email and left a phone message but no reply. The level of service was really bad along with the gross facilities. Apparently it is managers taking care of this place, if I was the owner, i would be worried and wanting to check on my asset and reputation. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Lovely people into the environment big time. The bed was comfortable but there were no blankets, sheets at extra cost, no bedside table, no lamp, and no hot water in the shower.

Uniqueness starts with being able to see Kiwi in their natural habitat! Each night they come out as well as an abundance of bird life, 55 types! Cabins have nice privacy and balconies. Big fridge in our 2 bedroom cabin, plenty of space and a comfy couch too! Pool has been just upgraded so brand new! Toy outdoor corner that kids loved! As it’s not the top ten holiday park type, it’s the quiet, nature and wildlife, beautiful mangrove and bush trails all walking distance! Main reception sell torches so you can watch kiwi come out and give good advice if you need help! Bring your badminton set, bring a ball, bring a bike or hover board and race around the big ground space!

小屋白天热得让人受不了，直到晚上屋里的空气才稍微能忍受。通风也很困难，因为没办法形成对流，风扇也没起到太大作用。
其他设施，比如厨房、室内公共区域和浴室，都有些老旧了，需要更多维护。在这方面不要抱太大期望。不过基本设施还是有的。
由于住宿依赖水箱供水，我们遇到了一个插曲，就是有2-3小时没有水，直到我们通知了业主。
网络限制为每个设备每天500MB，这让我们有点困扰。公园似乎想在这里额外赚钱，所以出售流量包。
经理们都非常友善，每次去都感觉很舒服。对孩子和狗狗来说，这里简直是个超棒的地方。
位置很棒，晚上可以听猕猴桃和猪肉的声音。这种住宿有潜力，但尚未达到。我们的房间#142 是一个独立的单元，最多可容纳 4 人入住，但只有 2 个玻璃杯和 1 个酒杯，没有面巾，厨房和浴室里有很多蚂蚁。门不能从外面锁上，所以我们在提基旅行时带走了所有贵重物品。通知了业主，并被告知他们知道这件事，但表示那里没有盗窃行为。当我们说我们不高兴无法锁住我们的住宿时，业主说他会来并在门上装上门栓，但他从未来过。服务真的很差。
我们住在这里是为了在乘坐露营车旅行时享受一点（相对！）奢华——热水淋浴、无线网络和洗衣服是我们的目标。我很遗憾地说，事实远非如此！到达后，从接待处得知游泳池坏了（我们前一天晚上预订时没有提到这一点！）而且洗衣机只收 2 美元的硬币，而网站上没有这些硬币，所以这意味着要回到拉塞尔去找到改变。也许这是我们的疏忽，但露营地代币肯定可以解决这个问题。设施非常基本，在你必须付费之前你只能得到少量的无线网络，这真是太遗憾了。最糟糕的是，当我去洗澡时，我把 2 美元硬币放进去，发现没有热水，我只付了冷水淋浴的费用。总的来说，这不是我们所希望的，也许每晚 48 美元似乎很值，但当你加上所有额外费用时，这对我们来说是一笔很大的支出，让我们失望地离开。唯一的一线希望是晚上能听到猕猴桃的叫声。
