Wow what a wonderful place to lay our heads! My husband surprised me with a trip to Nelson for 4 days and we stayed at Collingwood Manor. It is such a lovely place to stay with lots of charm, interesting art pieces and amazing hospitality. It’s so close to town that we walked each night when heading out to dinner and always felt safe. It’s quiet, the breakfasts are delicious, fellow visitors fun to meet. Will definitely stay again when we come back!

The bed and breakfast was located near the center of town so we could walk to many restaurants for lunch and dinner. Ray and Jules provided an excellent continental breakfast with fresh mixed fruit, cereals, yogurt with granola and breads. They were very helpful and assisted us with all of our needs. I highly recommend staying there if you visit Nelson.

Lovely old home with character and charm. Very central location. Our host Ray was very amenable and made sure we were comfortable and looked after. The breakfasts were generous and set us up well for travelling further afield. We both enjoyed our stay at Collingwood Manor.

We had a lovely stay here for 2 nights, 1 night either side of doing the Abel Tasman Great Walk. Beautiful character villa in a quiet neighbourhood, yet walking distance to restaurants and shops, Queens Gardens and Centre of NZ walk. Rooms are very well appointed with everything you need and the epsom salts for the bath after our hiking were very appreciated! A true Bed 'n' Breakfast with breakfast provided in the large dining room and Ray even gave us a ride to the airport when an Uber was nowhere to be found at 8am on a Tuesday morning! A kind and generous host, highly recommend.

This is a beautifully furnished, comfortable, and conveniently located B&B with super-helpful and gracious hosts. Host Ray even picked us up at the airport and gave us a couple other other rides . It was an easy walk to everything in central Nelson, including restaurants, museum, starting point of trail to hilltop with great views of the area, galleries/shops, etc. ; and buses to/from the beach and airport stop within a block or two. The breakfasts were delicious--more than expected from the "continental" description.

The welcome and service at Collingwood Manor were, as always, very friendly and attentive. This is the third time we have spent a relaxing holiday at this classic and beautiful B&B: Ray and Jules are attentive, friendly hosts. The B&B is perfectly located, almost in the centre of Nelson, many restaurants are within walking distance. There are parking places on the ground of the B&B. The rooms are spacious and clean. The charm of the past has been wonderfully preserved. The bathrooms are also of a pleasant size and well equipped (including fine toiletries). We read a book or two on the veranda and relaxed after our excursions. Ray provides perfect support with the planning if required. The Queens Gardens, the cathedral and The Suter Art Gallery, which always offers interesting exhibitions, are not far from Collingwood Manor and are definitely worth a visit. And not to forget: The Centre of New Zealand and the Maitai Valley are pleasant walks that refresh body and soul. The breakfast in the cosy lounge is still of good quality and the coffee is as strong as we love it. We thank Ray for taking care of the three of us. As well as his wife. We shall return hopefully one day.
