We had a wonderful stay in Negombo! The accommodation was perfect for our family. The pool was very clean and inviting — our child especially loved spending time there and felt very comfortable. The hosts were extremely friendly and always helpful with any questions we had. Breakfast was delicious and a great way to start the day. There are also many good and varied dining options nearby, offering a wide range of local and international dishes. Another big plus: the accommodation organizes a convenient airport transfer, which made our arrival and departure stress-free. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others!

We just wanted to chill for our first few nights in Sri Lanka before embarking on our tour of the southern part of the island. Negombo is a bit spread out with very little going on but was just what we needed to relax. The rooms in Holiday Fashion Inn were acceptable, it was good to have a pool, although it had been raining so we did not spend time using the 2 sunbeds that were available for guests. We had arranged collection from the airport through the guest house and the driver was waiting for us in the airport and was happy to wait while we sorted out our money and sim cards. The bed was comfortable, cleanliness was ok, it was one of the few rooms that had a fridge during our stay so were were able to have cold drinks in our rooms.

Located about a 30-minute drive from Colombo Airport, we arrived at Holiday Fashion Inn well after midnight, which felt like 4 a.m. Sydney time for us. Exhausted from our journey, we were warmly welcomed by the host, a kind and gracious Sri Lankan lady. Although there was no one available to assist with our heavy luggage up three flights of stairs, the host immediately took the initiative and carried my wife’s suitcase herself, which we greatly appreciated. The room was extremely basic. The air conditioner had not been turned on prior to our arrival and took around 20 minutes to cool the space. However, the mosquito nets over the beds were a welcome sight, ensuring a comfortable night’s sleep. The bathroom was a 'wet room' style, with a low pressure shower. We were up early the next morning and enjoyed a delightful Sri Lankan breakfast, including fresh fruit juice, pancakes, a fruit platter, eggs, toast with jam, and a lovely cup of Sri Lankan tea. After breakfast, we had a pleasant conversation with the hosts, a charming older couple who made us feel at home. Though we didn’t have a chance to use the pool, it looked inviting. In summary, while the hosts were lovely and the breakfast was excellent, the proximity to the airport is the biggest plus. However, on our last night in Negombo, we stayed at another hotel with a similar price range but found the bedding and facilities to be of much higher quality.

I landed in Sri Lanka after midnight and I stayed only for a night. My stay is without breakfast. My room is close to the pool. Everything is nice and it's good to bring your own hotel slippers. The shower water pressure is great and I have no complaints for the price.
