The Lake House is fantastic. It's one of the few places that does luxury properly. I've stayed here four times - twice on my own, and twice with my husband. It's equally suitable for a solo trip vs a couples trip (although the package inclusions are for two people, and there doesn't appear to be a discount for a single traveller). The restaurant is excellent. The staff are lovely. Any issues are dealt with promptly. The sauna can be temperamental - once it wasn't working correctly (we couldn't turn it on), and another time it was too hot to bear and couldn't be adjusted (and we are regular sauna goers who can stand a lot of heat). The pool is very nice. The setting is picturesque. We've stayed in Waterfront Suites and Pool Suites, and we prefer the privacy and serenity of the Waterfront Suite. The TVs in the rooms do need Chromecast. I prefer to stream from my own devices rather than log into individual apps on the TV, but I could not find a Chromecast option.

From start to finish our package stay was sensational, 3 nights, 3 dinners and 3 breakfasts. Upon our arrival we were given a complimentary berry tea while signing in and a room upgrade. The service was first class and the gourmet meals were delicious. Foodies will love it. You could not ask for a better setting, a wonderful romantic getaway. I highly recommend the Lake House

This was the first stop on our honeymoon, the staff were very accomodating. Our room was lovely and clean. The turn down service was great and we enjoyed the cookies left in our room each night. Wonderful place to stay we will return in the future.

Magical. Peaceful. Delicious. The owners and staff seem committed to ensuring you have a wonderful time. I am trying to find the right word to describe it. Beyond hospitality. There’s a warmth and generosity here that makes you feel like someone is looking after you. It’s in the food, the decor and the attitude of the staff. We loved it all. It was hard to leave.

We were warmly greeted at reception by lovely Lily who showed us to our beautiful accomodation. The room was very elegantly furnished with a charming window seat and a decking area overlooking the garden. Very generous shower area and lovely comfortable bed. Every effort has been made to make guests feel pampered and relaxed. One of the Lake House’s great strengths is the staff, all of whom were very courteous and professional. Lily was a wonderful welcoming concierge who ensured that we had everything we needed. Staying at the Lake House was a special experience we can definitely recommend.

My husband and I celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary at the Lake House - having 3 nights was pure luxury. The Staff were absolutely amazing - nothing was a problem and they were so professional and extremely kind. The food at the Restaurant was superb and one can understand why it has 2 hats. The Gluten Free bread that was served at dinner was so light and tasty - sadly the Gluten Free bread at breakfast was disgusting. Our Tour of Dairy Flat Farm was very interesting and extremely informative. We we so impressed by Hannah’s knowledge and the aroma from the Bakery was tantalising. Thank you to everyone at The Lake House for making our very special Wedding Anniversary so memorable. Garth and Libby Jones

A beautiful, restful setting looking over water and hillsides, from our charming suite, decorated with eye catching art and furniture. The restaurant has fabulous menu and is strongly linked to its local provenance, which gives extra zest to the flavours: mushroom tart was amazing! Luscious breakfast bacon! This was a great stay, the spa, walking trails, and a charming town centre at Daylesford.
