We had 2 nights at Sandpiper Cottages, Great Cottages close to lovely beach. We had in stood from the information given by Tasmania Vacations that is was a BnB. Not so. We were given a welcome pack when we arrived which was great for the first morning But were advised by the host we I asked for a little more butter and Jam for the 2 nd day that it was certainly not a BnB. As it is 9 klm out of the small town of Bichnoe was a little hard when you are travelling from WA and staying a BnB’s It is also quite a distance from Freycinet and Wine Glass Bay. More of a Summer Family place.

酒店回复: Hi Kristene, We are glad that you were happy with the quality of your cottage & enjoyed the lovely beach side location. . All of the cottages here at Sandpiper are fully self-contained/self catering & this is made clear in all of our advertising, (including the Tas Vacations promotional material) along with the fact that we are a short 8km drive north of Bicheno on Denison Beach. We welcome many guests who have booked through Tasmania Vacations as we are a good way point between Freycinet & The Bay of Fires. Their promotional material does not state we are a B & B, although it does mention that you will receive a complimentary welcome hamper on arrival which we provide to guests as an extra bonus. We were also happy to provide you with extra jam & butter on the second morning. We are sorry for your confusion.

One of the greatest assets of Sandpiper is the ownership. John and Annette are two wonderful, down to earth people that create a very warm, welcoming feel to the property. They’re fun to talk to and give the place a soul. The cottages themselves are quite sufficient and are stocked with everything you could think of and more. Some places I have stayed at cut corners in this regard but not here. Then there’s the beach! In less than 60 seconds, you can reach a gorgeous peach with practically no one on it. It was nice to return from a long day of hiking at Freycinet and be able to jump into a pristine ocean upon my return.

We stayed here for four nights and wished it had been for longer! Our one bedder was very cute and the breakfast tray of goodies was delicious. Expect eggs, bread, jam, butter and a couple of types of cereal and milk. The cottages are nicely spaced out so you have a nice feeling of seclusion. Its an easy stroll down to the beach and my husband was out fishing in the mornings. The cottage is spacious and well furnished with books, magazines and videos for a big night in. The kitchen is well kitted out for cooking with a few condiments as well. A sneaky peak in to the visitors book shows a large number of repeat visitors and alot of locals which is a huge endorsement. The cottages are about a 10 minute drive in Bicheno which has a small IGA if you want to self cater although the options aren't great. Its also home to the Lobster shack which is not to be missed. This place is perfect if you want to breathe in sea air, walk along the beach and have peace and quiet. We look forward to going back.

We had an exceptional stay at Sandpiper Cottages. We were grateful for the spaciousness, comfort and peace of our two bedroom cottage. One of us was most unwell, and we couldn't have been in a better place to begin to recover. The Cottage was equipped with EVERYTHING! So much thought has gone into providing thoughtful extras, including a quality welcome hamper. Similarly, there is equipment to make you comfortable at the beach. And what a beach! Pristine white sand and turquoise sea. I had it to myself on a warm, sunny September afternoon. What a find!

This small resort was just delightful. The cottages are well spaced and set in beautiful grounds with easy access to the beach and ocean. Our cottage was well designed, comfortable and well equipped. The welcome pack was much appreciated. Quiet and peaceful. Friendly and helpful owners. I wish we had been able to stay longer
