We are presuming you visited the park in high season when it was at capacity and would like suggest that low seasons might suit you better. We would like to mention that we do have days with no wind at all. We have had no problem with theft thus far. Situated where we are means that we are within easy walking distance to shops and lovely restaurants and the river walk. Happy travels Peter and Tracey.

Set right on the beautiful banks of the Mitchell River, this park delivers relaxation with a view. We loved the easy access to the river-walk and cycle track, perfect for stretching the legs and soaking up the scenery. Tracey and Peter were wonderfully welcoming hosts, making us feel right at home from the moment we checked in. The facilities tick all the important boxes: swimming pool for a refreshing dip, well-maintained BBQ areas and camp kitchen, a handy laundry, and even jetty access to embrace riverside life. The grounds are magnificently maintained (particularly the fairy lights in the huge tree near reception). The amenities block was impressively clean, and having a bath mat provided was such a thoughtful touch. Although the park sits on a main road, we were pleasantly surprised that traffic noise wasn’t an issue at all. It still felt peaceful and relaxing, especially by the river. All up, a friendly and comfortable stay in a lovely location. We’d happily return for another riverside getaway!

Nice place, staff were lovely, we had a laugh and a chat. We had a powered slab site opposite the river where there were so many carp ! Nice walking track too. Near the highway but didn't really bother us overnight in the caravan.We only stayed one night but I think it would have been nice to have stayed longer.

We stayed in one of the larger cabins with two bedrooms, one with bunk beds (which we didn't use) and a double bed in the other. The cabin was slightly knocked around from standard wear and tear, but it was very comfortable and clean. The people running the caravan park were friendly and seemed to care about creating a nice environment. We were also able to take our two dogs and there was even a little fenced area for the dogs play in.

Our cabin was lovely and clean with lots of space. As the cabin was near the river we didn’t experience any traffic noise. Tracey at reception was extremely friendly and welcoming. A lovely spot near the river.
