Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review and the lovely words. We are incredibly fortunate to have our bayans (treehouses) immersed within the incredibly ancient 180-million-year-old Daintree Rainforest. The staff at lodge take pride in providing exceptional service so it's wonderful to hear you point that out. We’d love to welcome you back soon.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, and for the lovely words. The location of the lodge is what attracts our guests from all over the globe as they have the opportunity to unplug from the world and take in the sights and sounds of the 180-million-year-old Daintree Rainforest. Operating as a ‘bed and breakfast’ lodge, breakfast is included in the overnight price for all of our guests.

We very much enyoed our stay in the Lagoon Treehouses. It is a very special experience to sleep and eat breakfast directly in the rainforest. The rooms/treehouses were great - clean and good equipped. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great as well. There is small à la carte choice. Everything we had was delicious.

We stayed here a few nights on our honeymoon. Our canopy treehouse room was beautiful, clean, and well maintained, as were all the other spaces. We slept with the windows open at night to listen to the frogs and birds, as was recommended, and it was such a cool experience (although very hot-- they do have AC, though, for when the windows are closed). The staff were all wonderful. The food was great, although expensive. We had a great time exploring the area. Would highly recommend!

The Ecolodge is a magical and unique hotel. Waking up in the treetop cabin to the sounds of the rainforest is unlike anywhere else. But what makes it is the warm and friendly staff, particularly Rob and Julia who are superb at advising on which trips to take and ensuring that your stay feels very special. Delicious meals and cocktails in a beautiful setting and the size of the hotel makes it a very intimate experience.

I don't like to write negative reviews so let's just call this one a "mixed" review. We were expecting our stay at the Daintree Ecolodge to be one of the highlights of our month-long Australia vacation. Alas, we were disappointed for a number of reasons. But first, let's start with the good. Staff are wonderful. We enjoyed all our interactions with hotel and restaurant staff. They all seem to have a great attitude and clearly want to please. Secondly, except for one experience, the restaurant was outstanding, especially for dinner. The exception was our 'breakfast bowl'. Of the 30 days we spent in Australia we had breakfast bowls (fresh fruit, yogurt, nuts and other healthy ingredients) about 25 times. The worst by a mile was the one served to us at Daintree. It was not only unimaginative, but was so salty we couldn't eat it. We wondered if salt had been added by mistake instead of sugar. The rooms at Daintree are very nice and imaginative, but NOT worth over $800 dollars per night. We stayed in much better rooms for half that cost during our trip. What was particularly disappointing was the lack of extra amenities and services in the room. One expects extra special touches for $800. There was no turndown service, no chocolates on the pillow, no extra special exotic soaps and lotions, nothing that really made the stay special. Furthermore, the bathroom lacks any sort of hooks or racks for towels and toiletry bags. What are you supposed to do with your wet towel? Service to the room was "perfunctory". The minibar was not restocked, we did not receive fresh towels, cleaning was clearly done very quickly rather than thoroughly. All of this was disappointing for a high-end resort. We did not feel anything was special. Admittedly, had I brought any of these issues to management's attention, I have no doubt efforts would have been made to address them. We didn't bother because none of this is critical and we were just too busy exploring the area to fret about it. But we were left with a less-than-favourable impression given the cost of our stay. I would not be writing this review if we had paid $400 per night. Based on this experience, I am sorry I cannot recommend staying at the Daintree Ecolodge.

We’re so glad you enjoyed your interactions with our team and the dining experience, though we’re sorry to hear that other parts of your stay didn’t meet expectations. Had we known during your visit, we absolutely would have done everything we could to make things right. Your comments have been shared with our teams, and we appreciate the chance to learn from your experience. We hope you still left with some fond memories of your time in the Daintree — it’s a truly special part of the world, and we’d love the opportunity to welcome you back one day

The room was gorgeous. We stayed in the Rainforest Hideaway which comes with the balcony bathtub that overlooks the rainforest. This was an extra special touch, the bath itself was large and comfortable and it was raining while we were there so it was like being immersed in a beautiful soundscape. The room had all the amenities you would want (tea, coffee, wi-fi, robes and slippers etc). The staff were absolutely lovely throughout our stay and the food was beautiful. The ecolodge is incredibly romantic and the restaurant overlooks a body of water that attracts many of the forest residents including a chorus of frogs. I can't tell you how much we loved it here, but we left feeling so relaxed and very much in love with the experience. Can not wait to come back again.

Wonderful to hear that you enjoyed your romantic getaway at our Ecolodge and being serenaded by our frog choir. Thanks so much for your 5-star review and we hope that you get to enjoy another stay with us soon.
