Our group of 14 had an extremely disappointing experience with this hotel. After checkout, the hotel accused us of stealing 8 bathrobes, which is completely false. What made the situation even more frustrating is that the number of allegedly missing bathrobes kept changing, as did the rooms they were supposedly taken from. Every time we contacted the hotel, we were given a different story. As a result of these false claims, our group has lost over $900, and despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue, the hotel has refused to cooperate or help in any meaningful way. There was no proof provided, no consistent explanation, and no willingness to fairly investigate the situation. On top of this, the staff were rude and dismissive, treating us like criminals rather than paying guests. The lack of professionalism and accountability from management was shocking. If you’re traveling with a group, be extremely cautious. Based on our experience, this hotel appears quick to make unsubstantiated accusations and unwilling to work toward a fair resolution. We would never stay here again and strongly advise others to look elsewhere.

I stayed at the bayside hotel on the 27/12/2025. The following day the hotel accused us of stealing and charged a total of $822 out of our bank accounts. I can assure you none of us stole anything and this hotel is a scam! Further, I would like to point out that Hamid was unclear on what rooms had missing robes and his accusations would change with each response. Each robe cost $74 and supposedly we took 8 (74 x $8 = $592). On top of the wrongful accusations they have also taken an addition $230. My group are currently trying to get this issue solved with the Room Division Manager however it is becoming extremely hard as Praneeth Kampa is failing to respond and provide evidence of the supposed stealing. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone!

We stayed here for a weekend getaway. I cannot fault this hotel, it’s beautiful! The staff are friendly, helpful and accomodating. The rooms are clean and new. The pool, sauna, gym are great! The restaurant serves lovely food. It’s about a 20 minute walk to Geelong waterfront beach area and about ten to local pubs. I would gladly come here again! Great value for money too!
