I've visited this place before and thought it was a good budget option, but when I returned last week I was sad to see it had gone downhill. The noise from the main road is quite confronting and although the upstairs rooms (where I have always stayed before) have the noise-reducing blinds, this was not the case downstairs - ear plugs are highly recommended. A crowd of young people appeared to have hired one of the rooms for a gathering/party and were playing loud rap music on the balcony (not really acceptable on a Wednesday evening I didn't think). I asked the lady at reception if I could move to a quieter room but she just shrugged and said there was nothing she could do. Again I was glad to have my ear-plugs.
