Overall the hotel was lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was cosy and comfortable.
If I had to say anything negative the spa looked a little tired and could use a re vamp.
However this would not stop us from returning for another stay
We were here for a wedding nearby so it was nice and convenient for that.It would be good next time to have more time to enjoy the hotel and its surroundings

Pool not in use which was the reason for booking and Dinner service was very poor, over 1 hour wait for a pre booked time!

Just returned from a 2-night stay for a wedding. Sadly we didn’t have much time to explore the hotel & grounds, but everywhere we saw was lovely and staff were very friendly.
Only negative was the HEAT. Our room was unbearably hot, even with a fan which was placed in there on request. The whole upper hotel was sweltering, far hotter than it was outside or downstairs. Made sleep very difficult.

We wouldn't go back! The property needs some upgrade and check in checkout was just not very good. Felt like the staff were a bit rude at times. No aircon and fans were on timer.

We booked two rooms, one room was fine just a little dated but as expected. The other room had a leaking AC unit which had flooded the floor and been going on so long it had caused mould in the carpet, the rubbish in the bin hadn’t been emptied which included papers with previous guests name and email address on and there was toilet paper just flung out the window. When mentioning this to reception we were refunded the £5 spa fee (mentioned below).
Outside the rooms we were surprised by a £5 fee to use the spa, which would have been ok but the pool was freezing (and I’ve swam in the Irish Sea!) and the towel provided was so threadbare it had multiple holes in. The gym was tiny, and I can’t believe the nerve of charging £65 a month for a membership to basically use a peloton and freezing pool.
The redeeming part was the staff at breakfast and who served afternoon tea. They were friendly and attentive and the food was ok.

Recent successful refurbishment while retaining warm welcoming environment.
Handily placed but spacious outdoor area and good parking. Very efficient air conditioning only requiring guests to use it fairly i e as if they were paying for it in their own home.
