The room was dark and outdated, the bed was comfortable although it did require cushions behind the headboard as the frame was loose! No nets in bedroom for privacy and daylight. Lots of dust and cobwebs around room and bathroom. The most noticeable complaint was the water pump/macerator noise was horrendous! If you expected an early night and peaceful sleep you better hope it doesn’t activate or the rooms around you don’t activate theirs! I’ve never been woken up so much, it was that bad that by midnight on my last night I packed my bags and left for home. I would never recommend staying here unfortunately. The breakfast was ok, maybe a choice of eggs and an extra sausage would be nice.

I planned to stay here for a week at the beginning of a project, and I ended up staying for seven. There was no need to change. Parklodge is a simple, straight-forward business that allows Martin the owner to live and raise his family next-door while running a full-house during the week. The rooms are clean, the clientele friendly, the beds comfy and the breakfast excellent. It biases male and slightly older, but that's fine. Martin will look after you, and you will get your business done.

Great BnB. Martin is a great host and his signature "breakfast " will keep you going the whole day. Situated near the North Camp village, which has most places that you would need. The local pub is a real gem, and a 5 minute walk. The lodge doesn't really cater for holiday makers, more for reps etc. 2 Train stations nearby.

For business and pleasure, I've stayed in many guest houses and B & B's over the years and this is the best one to date. The friendliness, professionalism, attention to detail and efficiency shown by the owner, Martin, was second to none. Really decent sized room with everything you'd need, comfortable bed, great breakfast, excellent shower, quiet, great nearby pub (The Squirrel) within 3-4 mins walk away...and more! Martin also went over and above my expectations by going out of his way very early in the morning, before I headed off to work, to mend my reading glasses after they fell apart. Without my glasses, the day would have been very challenging indeed...thank you Martin!!!
