Christmas Day morning g breakfast spoilt by the noise of a hoover getting g ready for lunch. We were also seated in gloomy corners as the tables were already set for ouside guests coming in later. How do you contact reception? Why not put a notice up with the phone number on it!

Clean well prepared room, warm with hot drink facilities, had nice hot shower and bathroom was warm and clean. Receptionist was helpful and was easy to book in. Good locacation to Barbic. Would stay again...

I normally look forward to staying here, however, I don't think I'll be staying again after this experience. We brought our youngest up to spend his birthday money in Plymouth, see the Christmas market and have a bit of one to one time together without his older brother. We arrived later in the day and were shattered after a long, full day. We got in our room and there was only one bed. I checked my booking to make sure the mistake wasn't mine - it wasn't - and then went down to reception to inform them we'd been put in the wrong room. I showed the woman the booking and with no apology, she started clicking away on her computer in awkward silence for a few minutes, she eventually just says to us "I'll have to go make up an extra bed for you". She wasn't rude as such, but I certainly think it would be professional to at least apologise for the mix up, especially since we were soaking wet and freezing at this point. We eventually get to the room and we immediately have to go to reception for a cup so we can all have a cup of tea to warm up. Once we're all settled to go bed we then realised the pillows were absolutely rock hard wafers and have to get dressed to go reception again to ask for new pillows - which still weren't great, very much in need of replacement. Once in bed I had one of the most uncomfortable nights sleep of my life. The mattress was way beyond it and non of us could get comfortable, as we're the sheets which were itchy and wobbly, not their normal silky ones. We normally love the beds at premier inn, so much so my partner wants to buy what they use when we replace our mattress. This was just horrible though. The final disappointment was in the morning however, when we sat down for breakfast to find it was no longer a buffet. It took absolutely ages for our food to come out and despite it all being made to order, the eggs were still over-cooked and my bacon was very anemic looking 🤢 not pleasant at all. I think you can forgive these things when it's a buffet, but this was one of the worst breakfasts I'd had in a long time. The manager there was also unwelcoming and a tad abrupt. I could see we weren't the only ones disappointed. The one positive was it was all clean and smelt pleasant in the corridors. However, all looking a tad shabby now and won't be using this one again. We have totaled many months staying in premier inns and this is the first bad experience we've ever had. Such a shame.

I booked 4 rooms for a special family get together! Three of the rooms were appalling! Full of mould dust and grime! Lights out, heaters not working and curtains on the floor! This is not acceptable! The Lady on reception was not interested! The smell of damp and dirt was not acceptable! The picture advertised certainly did not represent the rooms! The location and parking however were very good!

Very mediocre and tired hotel. Reception lady was lovely, the position is great, breakfast was ok but pricey. Inside, the room size and amenities are fine but the room smelt damp and like drains.

Had a great stay! The room was clean, staff were super nice, and the location was really convenient. Would definitely stay here again, great value for money

Very poor experience, mattress was very uncomfortable, stains on the chairs, expensive for the quality of the room. The heater was very loud. We won't be going to this premier Inn ever again.

Ruby on reception was EXTREMELY friendly polite and helpful a asset to premier inn Looks after people with a constant smile on her face

Always stay at this hotel when I work down in Plymouth, staff are always friendly and helpful, especially Ruby Rooms always have a fan which for me is a must when staying away.
