We stayed for two nights at La Fosse, our room was called Stoney Cross and was very well laid out, it had everything we needed, was clean and comfortable, the luxury toiletries were a great touch. We ate one evening in the restaurant downstairs,, we couldn’t fault the meal, which was very reasonably priced, full of flavour and just the right portions. My partner is a head chef and said the chocolate mousse was the best he had ever tasted, it really was special and I recommend if you stay then make sure you eat there too. Emmanuelle was an exceptional host, so friendly and would do anything to make your stay enjoyable. I would definitely like to return here one day, Cranborne is such a quiet and pretty village

Another super dinner bed & breakfast experience. Mark always makes us feel welcome, and the accomodation/food, and neraby walks on Cranborne Chase, make it so worth visiting.

We met family & stayed for one night, having bed , breakfast & evening meal in the restaurant. Our room was large & very comfortable with the biggest bed ! I like that fresh milk & bottled water are available from the fridge on the landing. Our evening meal was delicious, as was the wine, & our waitress was very friendly & helpful. Breakfast was also very good, with a huge selection of cereals, fruit, bread etc available as well as the cooked food. The owner was on hand to answer any queries & was very welcoming. No hesitation in recommending La Fosse

Stayed in this restaurant, with accommodation, for two nights. Quirky rooms/decor throughout is the first thing that makes its mark. But beyond that my room was clean and well-appointed. On the single night I ate there I enjoyed the tasting menu which was extremely good value for money; it ended with a very large and interesting cheese board which was a success in its own right. And top notch breakfasts clearly chef-prepared - an array of wonderful jams, seeds, breads, etc. not to mention a personal toaster! The hosts were very convivial and welcoming - both regarding the accommodation and the restaurant. To cap it all the village of Cranborne is small but quiet and pleasant, with lovely surrounding countryside. A very pleasant experience.

We stay at La Fosse on a dinner, bed & breakfast basis regularly. The restaurant is one of the best in the area, and their six quirky bedrooms offer us an opportunity to stay over and spoil ourselves after a delicious meal. Mark and Emmanuelle are lovely hosts, Mark is an excellent chef, offering local foods on both his standard menu and more varied dishes at his monthly Supper Clubs, which are themed eg Burns, Mexican, Spice Nights etc. These specialty suppers are a foodies delight and get booked up quickly. La Fosse is nestled in the centre of Cranborne, a great base for walking, on street parking is available right outside. The rooms are individually furnished (we’ve stayed in four of the six), everything you need is provided, including comfy beds/pillows, and the service is excellent. Breakfast can’t be bettered. All at a very reasonable price - it’s really good value for money.

We have stayed once before as a couple and this time we stayed as a group of 10 adults + 6 babies/kids (including 2 vegans) and Mark/Emmanuelle could not have been more accommodating. Beds are really comfy and they have made a lot of effort to think about what guests might need chargers in the bedroom, fresh milk and cold water on the landing. Gorgeous cosy little B&B. Pub right opposite and location is accessible for some beautiful new forest walks. We also did one group dinner in the Scandinavian bbq hut which was so unique and super fun.

I took my family here to celebrate my daughters birthday. The venue and service were both good but unfortunately the food was extremely disappointing. Every dish arrived with a wet stir fry and my trout was so overcooked I would have thrown it away had I cooked it at home. over priced and very under whelmed.

We spent a lovely couple of days here. Emmanuelle was a wonderful host. The rooms was large and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was delicious - best mushrooms I’ve had! We were too late trying to get a table for dinner and will make sure we book early next time we stay.
