You can't beat this hotel for beautiful view, warm and friendly and helpful staff, clean and comfortable rooms and the best breakfast presentation the entire trip! If you are seeking quiet but close to ocean and restaurants this is the place!

This is a really good option for Unawatuna. It is set above the road (quite busy) and is an oasis of well designed chalets and the main the building. The pool is fantastic. Breakfast is available and we were told by guests that it was very good. The staff are wonderful. Friendly and very helpful. The rooms are spotless. The tuk tuk is always available to get from the front gate - many steps and quite steep if you decide to walk it (I did!).
There are two large tortoises and two dogs on site.
Only two slight negatives for me - the barking of the dogs (not all the time!) and no hot water tap on the sink - a very good shower though.
There are many good restaurants within easy walking distance. We recommend The Bar and Black and White (both across the road and on the beach).

We thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay at Hotel Panorama. The bungalow was clean and spacious and the staff were very accommodating and friendly. The gardens and views looking down over the bay are gorgeous. But like all views from such a vantage point, has a hill to climb however this was not a problem and when we were being lazy, we just rung the bell at the gates and the staff drove the tuk tuk down to take us up. Breakfast: fruit, eggs etc, toast, tea or coffee and of course the Sri Lankan breakfast which I highly recommend. Lots of animals including monkeys and birds too see and of course, not forgetting the resident tortoises 😊 A lovely place to stay and I'd like to thank the staff for their kindness and hospitality

We loved our stay at this hotel, very clean and comfortable, excellent service, 2 options for breakfast, quiet hotel and very close the all attractions, amazing staff. located at main road so very easy to access shops and transport. A dedicated tuktuk is provided between main gate and reception. Highly recommended.
