I had mailed them a week before going requesting a sugarfree chocolate cake. We were there for 3 nights with 8 meals at the hotel. Every meal the same was requested but in vain. This is not taj service.

My wife and I stayed at Taj Chia Kutir for 5 nights in February 2026. The property is beautiful and v v well maintained. It is only 1.5 hours from Bagdogra Airport - the road is largely ok. We would recommend the Luxury Grande Room Valley View Rooms - even over the more expensive Villa Rooms and Villa Suites - which have no view to speak of. The Luxury Grande Rooms are v well located, have a panoramic valley view and a massive private terrace to enjoy the view from. The food at the resort was excellent - we would recommend going for an all meals package. The spa facilities were also superb. Overall the level of service and hospitality is fantastic - typically Taj! We would also like to acknowledge some people who went above and beyond to take care of us: From the Restaurant - Kumar, Rahman and Sourav From the Bar - Bishwak (super hospitable and makes wonderful cocktails) From the Activity Desk - Praju From the Spa - Amrita and Rinzing We look forward to visiting again soon!

My firend, Bhaskar Gupta, and I had a very pleasant stay at Chia Kutir. The moment one steps in, one feels welcomed by the friendly staff and the calm of the place, The staff is very efficient and all requests are promptly attended to. The food was good, but could be better. The sausages and cold cuts counter could have more options and be much better. The dinners at Chia Verandah were nice.We forgot some clothing at the hotel and the hotel staff helped in getting the belonging sent to us. The breakfast was nicely laid out. Much appreciated. There is construction activity around the resort and a frequent movement of heavy vehicles is a bother if you are sensitive to the vehicular movement sound. The quality of the road from pankhabari road to the resort needs urgent repairs.
